Edwards and Toseland no longer being on speaking terms somewhat surprises me. I fear that James may be the big loser here.

His year has started disastrously. I hope he can turn it around but something tells me this will be a long season for Toseland.

Yeah, I read that earlier today...could be bad news for the team, but I think Edwards could still pull off a decent season this year. He seemed to be in good humor about it.

I think James will kick colins ... this year..
Sorry Colin fans.. I like him, but JT is a far better rider.

dunno if anyone gets RACER magazine but there's mention of it in Colin column and James' column.

it seems that Colin has propper spat the dummy

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>I changed crew chiefs with james after the last race of 2008 and basically I don't have a lot of time for either of them anymore. I don't really want to waste my breath.

James felt there was a communication problem between Guy Coulon & himself so he said so to Poncheral who took it upon himself to .... Colin over and give Gary Reynders to James without consulting the Tornado

A bit .... and a little sad if you ask me - they looked like good mates last season and I like to see happy garages.

Really losing my respect in Edwards, as I would think he is the guy who is the cause of this. He is very open minded and willing to speak his mind. Good for him at that, but when your talking with teammates, just keep yourself quiet. If you do not like him, so what.

Are you living in a fantasy world?

Colin will beat Toseland by no less than 50 points.

Toseland stole his crew chief.

indeed, having an interview where you are hitting(on purpose) quite hard on someone strugling is a very big phail.... (also called the alberto puig demotivation methode

Who can say at this point if JT will out do Edwards or Edwards out do JT. I fear JT is going to put more pressure on himself to perform better and this may hamper him. His self imposed pressure he created during the build up to Donington lead to a serious setback time for him. Either way it is going to be great to watch the "team" battle between these guys this year. I still love Edwards for his no ........ approach to interviews, if someone asks him a question you get the whats going on in his head.

"No, no. He's not on the Christmas card list whatsoever. It's funny. We don't talk anymore after this little incident. We looked good in front of him, (Toseland) being 2 ½ seconds off the pace (at Sepang). That was good times. You should hear some of the comments being made. He got the crew chief he wanted. That was going to make all the difference in the world, and we just sit and laugh. We have a good time." - Edwards

why shouldn't Colin have a crow ?

he's been ...... over by the team (maybe James too - maybe not) but he's come out on top so good for him I say.

i like colins no-........ attitude and I hope he has a great season

PS................ GO JT !!!!

I'll hold you to that

i'll help you remember it at the end of the season ^^

If they were classmates or at any workplace i wouldn't be surpriced if they weren't best friends. They seem very different in character.
Actually i have never been a very big fan ,or been all that impressed by Toseland.

I think it's quite the laugh. JT stole the crew chief and that was supposed to be the last little bit, but so far the results haven't come. He fell pretty hard on day one of Sepang so give him some slack, but he's still been quite a ways of Colin. I think Colin has a right to laugh at JT's misfortune. It would be quite humorous at the end of the year if JT impressed and Colin had egg on his face. I've been a fan of both, but push come to shove I'm going to side with Colin's mouth.

Maybe it's just me but if this was a little spanish guy putting .... on an ex-World Champion US rider I suspect that all hell would break loose and the spanish guy doing the mouthing would be called every name imaginable (along with his puppeteer).

But then, that is speculation.

EDIT:
There have been a number of comments attributed to CE over the last few months that really are nothing short of whinging (whether justified or not) and it is now time for him to 'put up or shut up'.

He may have reason to be pissed off but IMO he is coming across as a person who needs to be in the media and needs additional factors to motivate him, which a rider at this level should not require.

I suggest that he lets results do the talking.

These 2 guys personality doesn't match up....thus the hostilaty. James Toseland is an uptight guy and Colin Edwards is an open guy. In all honesty Colin Edwards has always been a guy that complains alot, and people take it as a no BS kinda guy...but really when one complains too much it makes one look like a whining baby. That said, I really don't know what goes on in the garage or HOW James Toseland acquired(stole) Colin Edwards mechanics so I can't really pick a side. Could be that Colin Edwards has always played second fiddle with the Yamaha Team, OR he could just be trying to find an excuse to further his career.

this little tiff could be good for us because toseland will want to finish infront of edwards and edwards will want to finish infront of toseland....

so if one of these get into a one behind eachother situation i can see them pushing to the edge to get the win! dam will be fun for us to watch

I'm not crazy about pinball JT. I think he is not suited to the 800cc machine at all. Colin should look at his record and eat some humble pie. Talk is cheap. He hasn't won a race yet and probably won't. Last year for both.

Well if JT really screwed Colin over and talked Poncheral into giving him Colin's crew chief then I suppose Colin's quite within his rights to complain. How is Colin 'the guy who is the cause of this'??

I like happy garages too. But as has been said, a rivalry which extends onto the track can only be good for us who are still paying Ezpeleta's salary.
