If we can just get someone to follow the dank nugs to E Boz, we'll be in much better shape. While we're at it, why not see if someone can bail the Go Show out of jail? Somebody needs to go find Kurtis and KRJR both of them are much too young to be retired.

Dont know whats up with Mladin unless he is just playing games. He has been a second off the pace all weekend. Maybe he had fun last weekend coming thru the field instaed of checking out and being lonely.

Eslick gets his first pole, Hacking is back on form again. Strange that the Buell and the Kawasaki seemed joined at the hip.

Tommy Hayden fastest in final qualifying

T Hayden fastest, followed by Josh Hayes. David Anthony was third but he crashed and may have injured himself. Mladin still way off the pace.

AMA SBK Race 1 Results

Congrats to Josh Hayes.

He and Yates looked like they had a good battle. Yates came through some traffic and caught Hayes from behind. Yates looked good for the win, but then Hayes dropped him by setting a personal best lap. Yates responded on lap 20 with a fast lap that was about .5 below anything set all day.

Close all the way to the end.

Probably a good race to see tomorrow night.

I watched the races last night and i will say it again. The Buell is so much faster it's stupid. The 600 guys are racing over the edge to stay with the Buell and somebody is going to get hurt or worse. They have to try stuff they shouldnt, to try and make a pass, and as soon as they hit a straight the Buell powers right back by. The move Eslick made on Hacking for the win was borderline and i am wondering if Hacking had left the racing surface, would Eslick have been penalized. In Superbike, i said last week that Mladins riding style just didnt look right compared to what i have seen for the last ten years and the announcers said something about it last night. He has built a huge lead and appears to be just cruising around waiting on the end of the season.

He just doesn't want to be on the podium or press conferences answering questions anymore, or at least that's my opinion.

I dunno, he never seems at a loss for words when someone puts a mic in front of his face.

By most accounts, the K9 is a corner speed bike that rides like overpowered 600. The mods are so sparse these days, Mladin may not even care about trying to get the bike right for him.

I think it's pretty clear by now that Mladin isn't interested in answering the same
insipid questions over and over again. I reckon at some level - he's under some
pressure from Yoshimura to avoid any needless controversy for the sake of the
team in general - so he isn't really in a position to really speak his mind - while
on camera.

What the hell was going on with the handling of his bike in superpole and race one?
Yate's bike looked like it was on rails and Mladin by comparison was all over the place.

It was great to see Hayes doing well. Always thought he was a super salt-of-the-earth
guy and really talented.

Nice to see Ralph Shca-nneze's recent cohort is gone. He was more boring and uniformitive
than Spencer. Pridmore is smart and comments quickly
and succinctly and almost makes the Speed-jerk sound intelligent.
Did anyone notice that the sound was actually
improved? It was in stereo and if you turned up the sound - the bikes
could really be heard well. Makes for much better viewing.

Agreed. I am a HUGE Russell fan, but he isn't announcer material.

I like his announcing. I like his crazy accent and the way that he describes the racing. I was actually a little dissappointed when he wasn't on last weekend.

yeah I got that vibe as well. I passed it on as rookie nerves. I think that he settled in a bit. He announced the Laguna races as well and I really enjoyed it. He not on the level as Toby and Jules but maybe with time he could get there. All in all he really was a step above the usual speed announcers IMO.

Agree with both your points above. (BTW, I enjoyed the racing by both Spencer and Russell, just not very good in the commentary booth, though spencer was a bit better than russell in that regard).

Spencer who's so knowledgeable - always sounded like he was worn thin
from countless hours of listening to Ralph Sha-sneeze's mindless banter.
Whenever the two were together Spencer looked like he hadn't taken
his Prozac for for a week and was thinking of bashing his own skull in
with a hammer. I'm sure that's how I'd feel if I had to work week after
week alongside such a yappy ignoramus.
<

Scott Russell - a great rider - always sounded like he'd had a stroke and
trying to keep up with motor-mouth was just too great an effort. He
was out of his depth - TV-wise.

Finally got around to watching Race2 from Mid Ohio. I must say, both Races were probably some of the best we have seen this year in the class. Awesome to see Hayes pull the double, and Boz pick up a podium. Not sure what was up with Mladin, but honestly I just don't care about him anymore.

Pridmore was excellent, best announcer they have had in ages. He pays close attention to the races and has the experience to comment on the action. Shaheen still sounds like its "just a job" for him. No one can compare to Toby and Jules, those two are moto racing nutters like all of us.

Coverage of the race was good. They still need to come up with a better post race podium/interview system. The whole standing in the field thing could be improved on a bit. Oh and fire Greg White, biggest ...... of the universe.
