sorry, don't have a english source but it looks real, its also on krops twitter.

does this mean althea will pull out?

seems like checa is signed to ducati, so he will continue with them...that is if they continue next year?

any word on how the 1199 did? first impressions by checa were bad from what i know, in national championships the panigale didn't look like the real deal...

The 1199 Panigale has the new aluminum monocoque so Ducati will probably have plenty of development issues to iron out. The riders are going to complain about the different frame until they figure out how to ride it quickly.

I don't know the future of Althea, but if the last part of the article, about cost structure, is true, Althea might have to leave racing altogether. The racing industry has too many teams and too many technicians/mechanics on the sideline for any existing team to get away with cost structure issues.

So, Ducati will have to find another 'privateer' to represent their factory effort or gasp re-enter as a factory team?

Looks like Ducati want Checa and Guintoli in the 'works' team, good choice.

Shame about Davide though, I love watching him ride, he looks like he is going to crash every corner!!!

He usually did!!!

which ........ decided guintoli is more talented/has more room for development than gugiliano?!

hope its not true, because 1. davide (along with baz) is a future wsbk star and super exciting to watch and 2. .... guintoli.

Erm, anyone with a pair of eyes?

anyone with a pair of eyes would have seen that guigliano shows great promise.

wild and loose and crashing a bit too much (in his rookie year!) because the duc lacks a lot of power.

no way guintoli will do better than guigliano would have been able to do.

hope he lands a good ride next season, he deserves a chance

Easy man was just messing, I like Gugliano too but if the big cheese doesnt like you there ain't a thing you can do about it

Shame their not on the same team!

I could feel a wager coming on.

FWIW I think Guinters would beat Giugliano on equal machinery

The motor is a grenade, they are in the .... next year.

out of genuine interest: what do you mean by that?

i thought the extremely big bore would enable them to rev very high and make a lot of horsepower (who cares about revs below 6000rpm on a racetrack).

or is the air restrictor a big handicap because they can't use the big revs to make additional hp over the 1098?

If I'm not mistaken he already has

2010 wsbk standings ,crutchlow on at least the second best bike, rea on the wsbk ducati equivalent:

rea 292 points, 4 wins, 3 dns

cru 284 points,3 wins, not fast enough to crash out and miss races because of injury

The engines in the BSB versions have been blowing up all year and the WSB development motors have been doing the same, i see a lot of Ducati oil on the track next year.

i guess fixing reliability issues is easier than finding the necessary hp.

i was more worried about the air restrictor choking the engine above 10.000rpm,making their new engine design useless.

i hope they'll get it right the more competitive bikes the better.
