Alberto Puig :"Nobody Was Expecting Such Results From Dani. . ."

The next few weeks will be crucial in deciding who will be the 2006 MotoGP World Champion, with up to five riders having the chance for glory.

One of those riders is Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa, and his manager Alberto Puig spoke to motogp.com this week about the exciting fight to the finish that is sure to ensue.

"Dani is having a great championship. Nobody expected the results that he's achieved, but he's right there in the title race and I think the other riders should be worried. Hayden is a clear contender, Rossi is a great champion with nothing to lose, and we are going to be right up there, hoping to continue the suprises as we believe Dani is doing very well," said Puig.

That's the thing, Rossi does have stuff to loose. His huge unbeaten streak, the fans saying he's finished, etc...

Dani is amazing, I predicted a great seaosn and I was right. This kid is unstoppable.

Most people are saying that Dani Pedrosa will become world champion WHEN Rossi LEAVES.

I think they're all wrong much as I like Rossi; Pedrosa has been more cinsistant and faster than Rossi and I think that he can beat Rossi for the world championship.

Pedrosa's weaknesses is that he refuses to get too physical with other riders and his conservadurism in wet conditions. If Sepang is beaten by the monsoon, it will be a very interesting race. The rumours about his insistence to get early summer holidays were plainly stupid.

But you are right. I just wish that Dani Pedrosa Inc. could go public, like Google did. I'd buy that stock now.

Pedrosa has the speed to run up there but he has not been able to beat Rossi whenever the two are together. Now, I realize that they've only been together only a few times but nonetheless the record is still Rossi.

Rossi would have ran away with the championsip again this year if Gibernau hadn't cast a voodoo spell on him.

Not many people expected Dani to do so well in his rookie year. No doubt he's got a lot of learning to do but it would be great to see him wins the championship in his rookie year as well.

An eye for an eye, I reckon.

Let's not forget that Rossi has had 3 dnfs this year and I'm sure Le Mans would have been his if the bike had lasted.

Dani is good, very good BUT he is so boring I like racers to have vvvroom.

Next year will be interesting with the new 800cc, lots of different 250 champions out there. Like RGVNEIL has said If Rossi didn't have all these DNF’s and that crash he would have been leading the championship – Still the man to beat. That bike of his is is crp, so I don’t think Dani will get a easy path next year. I do believe he will be a champion the other one to watch is Stoner very fast, but he crashes a lot (the new Randy).

what's boring got to do with it? it's not boring when he win's, or scraped it out with rossi. it's not like ur sittin at the table in conversation or anything now is it. define boring. just because he's not a clown like rossi? maybe he'll get into a fist fight with rossi like max. bet u would'nt call him boring then
