I disagree, moving into new markets is a gain for everyone. This is a world championship. So why are we visiting Spain three times? Give these new countries time and attendances will increase.. (Excpet Qatar, god i wish they'd axe that track)

Why would any other countries they dont go to be different to qatar? I agree that it is a world championship and that they should go to some other countrys, but not at the expense of the atmosphere or the quality of racing. There's a reason that spain as three rounds and thats because theres always good racing and an incredible atmosphere.

I think the world championship needs a balance between world coverage and visits to the greatest tracks in the world. I would be hugely disapointed to loose one of the spanish rounds and exchange it for a middle eastern round with no crowds or atmosphere. But equally, i wouldn't want to sacrifice world coverage for the sake of going to spain 3 times. As it stands i think the situation is good. We don't need another middle eastern race for sure. I think a south african race, and perhaps a second in the americas would be nice. But then what races to sacrifice?? I think valencia and portugal are the least needed races in the calender. But thats just my opinion.

Because believe it or not, there are MotoGP fans outside Europe

and there are also some potential fans outside Europe.

Qatar has a bad attendance because the fwits built a track in the middle of the desert. As ive already said many times, Qatar should be dropped. We only need one race in the middle east, and they should build a purpose built track in Dubai imo.

As already mentioned, South Africa and Brazil would be good additions. Lets not forget Canada. Then theres Mexico, New Zealand, even Belgium (if they could fix up Spa).

Valencia is a ..... track as far as I'm concerned and I would be glad to see it go. Jerez is the one I would keep. If they must have another Spanish race, then Catalunya I can live with, as the track is pretty decent, but three is too much.

Agree about Valencia, but I quite like Portugal. Estoril is quite a unique track and I think it would be a shame to lose it.

Actually, with the situation of Estoril, it even adds further fuel to the fire that at least one of the Spanish rounds could be cut.

Trouble is that valencia is THE end of season party, and not many other tracks are equiped to give such an atmospheric close to the title. It may not be the best track in the world, but it sell sout everytime and a great show goes on.

Of course there are fans outside of europe, but there are more fans and better tracks inside europe, hence the season focus.

I think Jerez could have a better atmosphere for the last race. Seeing the riders coming in for one last lap through the stadium section..

I'll let you imagine it, but I think it would be good..

From one sucka to another...this
time a finnish based perspective. Should be one round per country
including a purpose built track ten mins from my house here

!

However Yeps the spanish rounds sure do look great (without ever
being there - though that'll change when fantasy league comes to a
close
