Obviously just kidding. I probably should get me a set of leathers but they are so hard to find for a guy my size and when i do find them in the right size, they fit weird because of my backwards ... dimensions.I am 6'5", weigh 250 lbs and have a 34" inseam which is 2-3 inches shorter than normal for someone that height but my torso is 2-3 inches longer which ..... everything up unless i get something custom made. I have some ballistic nylon touring pants but they are hot as hell in the summer. Leathers protect you in a slide, the roads we ride if you go down, there isnt much sliding. You go down, your in the trees or off the edge.
For you odd-shaped guys (
) here is a link to the best custom leather dude I've seen in North America (I'm sure there are some in the US but IM's work impeccable) -

Not necessarily so... my bro cracked into a deer with his GF on the back. She was catapulted off the back and sustained some serious roadrash (since she DECIDED to remove her leathers 'cause of increasing temperatures) - he on the other hand had a severely bruised knee from impact (which would have been broken without leathers/knee protection and no other injuries after his impact and slide with leathers on. BTW tow truck dude brought both his bike and the deer back to his house and after crying over the bike we had a feast!
