Milan: Suter 500cc GP Racer

"It makes a MotoGP bike feel like a tractor" - the 500cc GP bike you can buy for trackdays

ONE FOR THE TWO-STROKE loonies: German design specialists Suter, in conjuction with Italian bike builder Paton
are marketing a hand-built two-stroke 500cc GP racer.

The 200bhp, 125kg bike has been masterminded by racing guru Eskil Suter and features a similar chassis used on the ill-fated Ilmor X3.

"There was never really a proper 500cc V4 two-stroke people could buy," says Suter.

The former 250 and 500GP racer claims the company's 500 will make a modern MotoGP machines 'feel like a tractor'.

"I wanted to build a 500cc bike anyone could buy," says Suter.

Just one criteria: 'anyone' must have £90,000 going spare.

90,000? Pshhh yeah right. Who'd pay that much for a bike when you can build one in a shack with leftover tubular bars..... that's how Ducati bikes are build anyways, and people seem to like it. Then slap in a 500cc dirtbike moter in it and call it a day.
