After today's races, I'm looking forward to Japan. I hope it's OK to start the thread.

There was suggestion that the weather forecast is for rain. Looking at Accuweather, the prediction seems less clear, so we'll see. Rain could up-end everything and give us an unexpected winner. Or, maybe just Marc Marquez.

Last year Martin won both the sprint and feature races, so this could be a good opportunity for him to build a buffer over Bagnaia. Or not if he falls off while leading or something like that.

David Alonso could wrap up the Moto3 championship if he scores 3 points more than Daniel Holgado. And Ivan Ortola must be up for some sort of record for long lap penalties over a season.

And in Moto2, perhaps Canet will be second again, to return balance to the universe.

Of course it's alright. There's no hierarchy on this forum. I for one always especially look forward to Motegi and Philip Island. For my taste, they consistently provide the best races of any season. The 2016 and 2017 (in the rain) Motegi races between Dovi and Marquez stands out in memory as two of the best ever. Rain at Philip Island - erghh... not so much. Fingers crossed. Visiting Australia is on my bucket list but if I had to risk a rain race, I wouldn't choose Australia. Philip Island in the rain is brutal.

That race in wet Motegi. Epic. I still recall Marc saying as he was side by side with dovi in the straight " wasn't even watching the track, watching dovi's braking hand, so he could react after and guarantee outbraking him". Insane.

Thanks for that. Never heard that story. Wow!

I was in PI last race and it was full winter gear, gales, hail and rain and sunshine lol

I'm not going to be watching the qualifying, Moto3 race, or Moto2 race live. But, I should see the MotoGP sprint and feature races live. :D

Moto3 race kicks off for me at 2200 Saturday with MotoGP at 0100 Sunday. Yea, I'll be sound asleep. This is why I have a video pass.

Just remember Wildcat 3:16 Those who post spoilers will be condemned to listen to Rossi interviews about Marc for eternity.

I'm picturing a scene from a movie. Rossi is tossing and turning in his bed and sweating profusely. He is having a nightmare. The shot cuts to his nightmare and he is on the podium with the championship trophy in-hand, that is until Marc steals it from his clutching hands. Marc and Lorenzo are laughing hysterically. Confetti begins to fall around Marc as Vale falls to his knees; "But you saw, I won....it's my trophy. It's number 10!!!!"

I’ll be up for 2nd practice as I think it’s a good pointer on who’s hot. Would like to watch qualifying but a it’s long wait for sprint race so guess I’ll just do the sprint and the big one.
