2024 MotoAmerica - Round 4 - Brainerd International

Really nice to see Kayla get 3rd then 2nd at the Ridge this weekend. Supersport is a tough class, but she is learning fast.

Yeah and the Sunday race was bone dry. She finished on the podium in the wet at NJMP, and Saturday at The Ridge was spitting with rain. She finished in front of Corey Alexander twice, who is an experienced journeyman with several seasons on 1000s.

When they hired her, I thought it was a marketing move to reward her for he exceptional achievements in the lower classes, but she is the real deal. Even out braking other riders, which is particularly difficult for smaller-statured people on heavy production bikes.

I wonder if she will go to the women's international championship. They are racing on motorcycles that Kayla left behind last season. Not sure if she wants to step back for a world title, though the sponsorships and pay could be better.
