MotoAmerica mixed up the schedule and went to Barber this past weekend, rather than waiting until season-end.
Supersport featured a new middle-distance race format with a pitstop. It was the only race of the weekend for the supersport class, and the results were mixed. Weather interfered, and chaos ensued, but it will take time for the teams and riders to adjust for flag-to-flag racing.
Superbike races were a bit processional at the front, but the midpack featured some really good racing as Suzuki are getting back on their feet with new updates, and Ducati are struggling (like always) at Barber.
The highlight of the weekend was Kayla Yaakov returning to competition in Twins Cup and notching 2 podiums. She was bested only by Rocco Landers and Blake Davis, who are both above her currently talent level, but she obviously has potential if she's notching podiums in her first two races. It will be interesting to see how far her talent takes her, and if she experiences weight related issues like Pedrosa experienced in GP.
