MotoAmerica is rolling into Elkhart Lake, WI for the annual event at Road America. Weather looks like it could be poor, but maybe the rain will stay away.

Despite the international scandal Petrucci instigated by placing sole blame for his injuries on the medical and corner workers at Virginia International Raceway, Danilo will race at Road America. He's not in great condition, nor does his mental state seem particularly sharp, but we'll see how he goes.

In the end, Petrucci's final verdict is that AMA has bad tracks, and they need to mimic CIV which races at Mugello, Imola, and Misano. https://www.gpone.com/en/2022/05/31...-rainey-motoamerica-must-look-at-the-civ.html

Obviously that isn't going to happen. Best chance was for the slugs at DMG to get their lobbying machine involved. That ship has sailed.

Anyway, let's hope the racing is good, and Danilo has an uneventful weekend.

Twins Cup Race 1

Don't sleep on Twins Cup people. The twins have enough power (~100hp) to look okay in a straight line, and enough tire to be fast through the turns. Plenty of slipstreaming. They are approachable for many riders of various skill levels. Aprilia and Yamaha are in the mix now, others will definitely be entering soon.

This will be the hottest class globally going forward, imo.

I've only seen race 1... wondering if DP has anything to say... hmmmmmm!

Won't spoil Race 2 for you :D

Race 1 was entertaining. Gagne made another uncharacteristic mistake to complement what happened at Road America in Race 1, but this time he made an incredible recovery.

Happy for Mathew Scholtz. He deserved the win, and he raced hard, but clean enough with Petrucci, who really seems like he's over it. Racing in the US doesn't seem to be for him. Maybe he's not gelling well with the team or the paddock.

Barbera finally got back on the MotoAmerica podium by capitalizing on the BMW's horsepower and Gagne's demise.

M4 Suzuki guys were nowhere. They struggled.

Fun wildcard appearance for Larry Pegram who grabbed a top-10 in race 1. Not bad for an old man.
