So what will we see, what do you think?

Can Marc keep it up and lift another title? I'd say 90% probability.
Alex does not have great deal of confidence, his goal to beat KTM rookies is rather low mark. Will he ever finish closer than 10 seconds to the winner on this Honda? I think maybe not.

Will Ducati once again be the first loser or this glory will go to the Yamaha this year? It may well happen Vinales and Quartararo both push Ducati down the order.

In my opinion Suzuki future is not Rins. I think Rins has done what he can and this is not enough to be a constant podium contender. The bike itself seems to have the potential.

Aprilia and KTM both are very active in development, will it bear any fruit soon? Maybe 2021.

Regarding individual riders everyone waits what Rossi is going to decide, Yamaha needs to think of future and Rossi seems to be on the way. Maybe selling shirts is not that lucrative any more. And Zarco of course. Will he tame that Ducati? Aren't you curious? I am.
 
So many talking points here! If Marc can avoid injury to the shoulder between now and seasons end we have the obvious winner. He has proven to be a tactician and I would imagine he will try and minimize risk more this season to preserve the shoulder. Though, the light on the young competition and (pending he shows up like we anticipate) Fabio could easily push Marc to the limit and cause him to take those risks. +1 for the Suzuki comment, they truly having something there and are very close to the right rider/bike combo for a successful campaign. I have strong hopes Zarco takes well to the Duc and becomes a weapon with that machine. I hope im wrong but I dont see KTM or Aprilia taking any huge steps this year but I hope their new advancements make some progress.
 
Marquez is still the man to beat

I expect KTM and Aprilia will close the gap, should make a lot more Q2 appearances.

I think this could be the last year for Rossi, Dovi, and Petrucci... at least on factory machines.

the Zarco situation is hard to predict, what kind of factory support will he be getting, and how will he take to the ducati?

The rider I am excited to see is Binder, he really liked to push (slide) the Moto2 KTM around the track last year, if he can ride a GP machine like that then he will be fun to watch.
 
I expect over time another Ducati rider will shine - consistently, or at least as consistently as Dovi has done, but I don't see it happening over the course of one or two seasons on the bike. It apparently has a long slow learning curve. Marquez could do it, but not any of the current Duc riders. Even if one of them shows great promise this year, I think Ducati will keep Dovi on tap for his value as a developer because he has unparalleled perspective and long experience with the bike and the engineers.

Up front MM Quartararo Dovi but I also see much better results from Aprilia , this said Rossi will give it all in the early races he want to go out with a bang .
 
There are two ways how Rossi can perform a "bang". Either crash and break some bones (I hope not) or get caught with dope. But then again, the latter probably will be covered up by Dorna. We don't know, it may be even happened in past ...
 
Marquez will win again by large margin.

Maverick will be vice (will win in Qatar), as Dovi is not going to win a single race claiming the bike has the same problems as always and the competition has improved.

Quartararo will be third.

Dovi and Rossi will fight the quasi-retired honor title (4th and 5th).

Petrux is already editing his curriculum and emailing it to as many police departments as possible.

Zarco will start motivated but will fade in the course of the year claiming he has not factory material.

Alex Marquez will be mid-pack at most.

KTM and Aprilia will be in crisis and evaluating if it makes sense to continue in the series.
 
Heard Marc is having issues getting that shoulder ready.

Mav and Fabio should be 2 & 3 more or less during the year but i predict Rossi will start stronger than them as usual & then fade into 5th.

Dovi will be there between Rossi and Mav/Fab

Rins could potentially take 5th as well but he has to keep a cool head during races, he has plenty speed but almost taking out 3 or 4 riders in one race isn't all that good. Had it been Marc he would have been black-flagged. So cooler head with less mistakes and Rins can shine.

Zarco no idea.

Morbi no idea

Petrux no idea

A.marquez no idea.

The rest no idea, depends on the KTm and Aprilia vehicles but honestly....no idea.
 
Maverick has signed a contract renewal for 21-22 so could possibly be leading development and being settled will hopefully be a strong contender.

If he doesn’t get his starts and first few laps sorted then it’s going to be almost impossible for him to have a realistic title chance. I know Yamaha have been working on a hole shot device which could help but there’s no point in getting a great start if he can’t get up to race speed fast enough.

Yamaha must’ve been worried about Ducati stealing him to sign him so early.
 
Yes, and now Quartararo is the next one. And Rossi seems to be "the extra guy" at the party. OTOH, I'd love to see Quartararo going to Ducati and making himself a title contender there. It would be good for the show, three racers fighting for the title on three different bikes.

Sure after this Ducati will make quick work going after Fabio. T-shirt sales man is yamaha next priority.
 
I think Yamaha is after Fabio as well. It's not unusual for them to have two title contenders in the same team.
 
I don't think Fabio could ride the Ducati.

Ducati is now really on a bad situation. They invested buttloads of money and smoked so much tobbaco in order to be champion and it's really sad there was a Marquez in their way. Maybe they should call Lorenzo and make a chat about 2021, but before that they must make sure Domenicali is fired.

One thing is for sure: another boring season ahead (and so on). Looking forward for 2026.
 
I think Ducati really wanted Maverick, now they may be in a bad position. how long does Dovi have left? Petrucci doesnt seem like he is going to do anything. Jack has shown sparks of potential, and likely deserves a factory ride. though no one else seems able to compete on the Ducati. might they go after Marquez, seriously?
 
Poaching Marquez would mean Honda has no competitive rider and Alex will be high and dry, too. The only thing Ducati has to offer is the glory of winning title on a different brand. I don't believe money is the factor here. Marc cares about his brother, it makes it very hard to tempt him over.
 
OK, so now we have extremely strong Yamaha, one-man Honda, Ducati with lots of bikes but not very strong pilot-wise and Suzuki with Rins who's personal ECU (the unit between ears) keeps malfunctioning and Mir who is apparently not a wonder kid.
It will be Marquez against Vinales then.
Marques' weakness is his shoulder.
Vinales needs to sort out his starts and early race pace.
Quartararo needs to improve his strategy to threaten the top spot, it may be harder than he thinks.
 
LOL.. Ducati is .........congratulations to Domenicali who drew this scenario the moment he rejected Lorenzo.

Well, maybe we all could chip in to convince Stoner to be back, at least for a single year.
