There have been few great races in the rain, but mostly I hate 'em. It's a tight competitive field in Q2 with no-one clearly dominant - a good indicator of a hot race. MV had a good quali, but if, with a full tank, he bogs it on the start as he too often does, I don't see him on top of the podium. Wouldn't be surprised to see Dovi more motivated to win it just as a big FU to Ducati.

That was horribly close to a fatality [emoji44]
Missed Rossi in particular by not much at all, at speed and height.[emoji44]

Wow. ....... horrid but hopefully Franco will be okay. Rossi looked like he needs a stiff drink now.

Whatever safety measures are in place there is nothing to protect anyone against being hit at high speed by another bike. Never saw the Simoncelli incident, never want to see it, but that seems like it was horribly close to the same thing

Simon Crafar rightly questioning the safety of that corner.

Scary incident.
Yes you cant protect against that speed and weight.
So bloody close!

Have to go back to misfit’s comment post the previous race. I like Zarco, but he has been involved in rather many incidents.

Pol did exactly what he did last week. Honda could be rethinking that contract tbh.

As far as the incident goes. It was so close to being catastrophic but thankfully it wasn’t. Probably the luckiest day Rossi has ever had. Bloody thankful bikes missed each other and people by 10th or 100ths.

He appears to have done nothing wrong in that one IMO.

Sure, I didn’t think he was last week either. Just saying after dismissing his comment last week as misfit said it does keep happening.

Simon Crafar questioned his racecraft in both instances. There may be something to it.

Shaping up to be an exceptional season. Horrible crash aside, it was a great race. Had a feeling Dovi would dependably win again. Wondering what options (if any) he has for 21. He's done a great job of out-riding the Ducati's handling limitations, but it's got to be extra challenging for a guy his age. Would love to see what he could do on the KTM.

Miller did a great job. Originally assumed the soft front was a bad choice but apparently he'd used up his allocation of mediums. I really got a better feel for what he's like in the interview. He's growing on me.

For me the star of the race was Mir. Totally jumped out of my seat to cheer when he made that pass. Good stuff! And that . . . from a 17th(I think) place on the grid.

Binder really has the ..... Will be keeping an eye on him.

Yamahas - who knows?

Greatly admire Marquez . . . but honestly, the racing has been better without him.

Crutchlow's looking like The Ancient Mariner.

Whatever your opinions about Viñales and Rossi may be, one thing for sure is that they both have testicles made of titanium!

Hard to image how Mav and Rossi must have felt in that instant. They had no idea about the crash behind them and were racing as normal... only to suddenly see a bike fly by centimetres from their head. Had Rossi been traveling a tenth faster or Vinales just a tad slower would have resulted in disaster.
