Whether forecast is about the same for race, dry for practice, too. Ducati may do a little better than last week. I don't think Yamaha manages to repeat the disaster they had, so they will be in podium contention. I see no reason why Suzuki should slow down. Indeed, the monkey wrench is out there and comes without warning, may strike anyone. KTM will be there, complicating the life for everyone, themselves included.

Mir is out of top 10 for now? He is really careful, methinks. He knows merely finishing last two races with a few points scored will guarantee the title.

Fabs 16th in both sessions. He is truly lost. Wonder what the problem is.

Looking like Morbidelli and his crew could pull another one out of the bag!

Petronas turning down the power to hopefully get the bike to last till the end of the season?

Note: Morbidelli doing good - on last year's bike.

Hmm. Another replay. Franco on pole, Fabs in 16th.

Franco is on last year’s bike? That escaped me.

Mav seems to be doing better than Fabs also.

I think Fabio is getting psyched out.

From where I'm sitting, it's difficult to say what's happening with Fabio. Dialing the bike's setup to the tyres and conditions seems to be turning out to be a dark art more than anything. How do we explain the Suzuki performance in qualifying. They dominated last weekend. The variation in fortunes also seems to vary between riders within the same team.

He's on the 2019 bike for next year as well.

Could turn out to be a blessing...

Neil Splading is convinced that Franco has the new Olin's rear shock on his bike as well, whereas the factory team would not have been allowed to take the risk of using a new suspension component.

It would appear that this shock part of the reason that the Honda's have fared better in this last part of the season.

After practice and qualifying, I can’t really see anyone other than Morbidelli taking the win. I think Mir and Rins can make up considerable places but whether they can get on the podium, I’m not sure. Perhaps top 5. I’d love to see Nakagami get a podium but I’ve been saying that for weeks. He’ll probably come 4th again. Miller is talking up his race chances but I’m not sure I can see him on the podium either. Pol Espargaro I think could make 3rd again or even 2nd, with maybe one of the other KTMs joining him on the podium. I’m going to go Morbidelli 1st, Pol 2nd, Olivera 3rd, Nakagami 4th, Mir 5th, Rins 6th, Binder 7th!

If there's one thing you can say for sure, it's pole position more often than not is not a great predictor of final results. If it's dry, I expect there will be at least on Suzuki on the podium.

Handy to have at Valencia though. Mir is a great decisive passer however, so less of a problem for him, and I too would expect a fairly high finish from him in the dry. FQ and Rins are down the grid with him anyway, all he needs to do to clinch the championship is beat them, even finishing close to them would probably suffice.

I do think Mir will win the championship today. Maybe he can scrape a 3rd place, I don’t see him getting higher than that though, being so far back at the start.

I think just more proof Fabio doesn’t handle pressure well. He might not even finish on the championship podium now.

Kudos Mr M1r...
Great race as well !

How bad does Vinales wish he'd not left Suzuki?

More like how stoked are Suzuki that he left. Vinales wouldn’t have won the title this year no matter what bike he was on. If Vinales didn’t leave then Suzuki would probably be running with him and Rins.

What a team Suzuki is though. Excellent management and engineers make up for a lack of budget.

Amazing to see Suzuki back on the podium again.

Congrats to Mir of course.

And feckin' great last lap dogfight w Morbi and Miller.

I expect Fabio would have done much better if he'd not been blessed with a 2020 M1.

Sorry to Nakagami go down.
