Pretty much my favorite track. Always great racing here. Since 2012 only Hondas and Yamaha have won here. Marquez is in great form and loves the circuit. So yes - he'll likely win, but there'll be good combat in his wake.

Last year was fairly epic...I'm sure I read a statistic that said there were more overtakes in that one single MotoGP race than in the last decade of full Formula Yawn seasons.

Yep. I was there. Mind-blowing.

Ah ok...just back from Montmelo, great circuit for fans shame about "that crash"...though Rins was great entertainment.

Likely win? Lol, no. More like may win. He has won there 2 times since he entered motogp. Rossi, dovi, rins, vin, petrux, crashlenzo all have a chance. ...., even crashlow, quarta and miller does.

Lol...that was awesome..the Iannone seagull incident....sorry I know this will be against popular opinion but I liked him. And I think he could have been successful at both Ducati and Suzuki...they both made a mistake getting rid of him. He definitely has the raw speed and a bit of a character too which the sport needs.

Iannone is not released from teams because of his performance on track. Him and his entourage led by his brother are entitled major pains n the ... that embarrass the manufacturer and sponsors off the track. Things like missing testing because a Botox injection to puff up his pouty lips left him unable to wear a helmet. Signing off on his numerous social media accounts with the monicker
Hard .... every time. Partying his brains out and posting it on social media for the world to see . Dude wants to be a star, but doesn’t want to put in the time to be one. If he was half as dedicated to his racing career as he is to getting “likes” , he would be a force . Dude needs to go model underwear, you don’t need to think and perform to look good

So in other words...he's entertaining...just what we the fans want in MotoGP...

Lorenzo hit the deck hard.

This guy is never ever going to catch another break or what?

At work so missing out on the practices dammit

Jorge really needs to stop trying so hard. Forcing the adaption is really setting him back. Pressure is immense at HRC, but he needs to find a healthier way to deal with it or he'll be facing an early career retirement.

As a long time GP fan, I want talent. Fastest motherfuckers on motorcycles.

Don't care about the lifestyle, the endorsements. What ever. If a rider scores coin modelling some jocks good on him.

Speed on a motorcycle makes you remembered. ...... fragrances don't.

Make no mistake Iannone has raw speed and is happy to fight tooth and nail...seen loads of fairing bashing when he was with Pramac. If he's up front he's great to watch

Lorenzo is now unable to race this weekend. Interesting turn of events.

I'd imagine he has to miss next weekend as well given his injury and the nature of the S-ring.

He really needs to consider his long term future and perhaps join Casey on Danis boat for a little R&R

Let's not get carried away folks..Jorge Lorenzo is a fighter and tough. Stepping into the ring of fire that is Repsol Honda proves that. He'll win this season and we'll all quickly forget our doubts. Every one is only as good as their last result.

Jorge is really in a very difficult situation.

I would like Ducati to fire Dovi and hire Jorge for 2020, Jorge can develop better the needs of the red machine. Dovi is already aiming a slot in Stoner's weekend fishing program.

Gui22a, I happen to think you have a reasonable point of view generally. However firing a "steady eddie" in Dovi would be a bad move in my opinion. Andrea has proven his worth thus far, and would re-hiring Lorenzo really get them any closer to a championship? Yes Jorge looked the faster of the two riders at the end of Jorge's tenure, however he was never dominant enough to risk upsetting Dovi.

The fact is, with the right superstar rider from the junior classes Ducati might have an honest hope of beating Marquez. At the moment they are over engineering the bike in the hope they can make up for the deficiencies of the riders they have. In my honest opinion this is the wrong path.

Without Marc Honda wouldn't be where they are. Without Rossi/Lorenzo Yamaha would not have the championships they have acrued, and (to go really old school) without Schwantz, Suzuki would not have won a championship before the distinctly average Roberts Jr. To think it is a machine problem is a fools errand. The fact is whenever a bike has had real success it required a rider atop it to really leverage its strengths.

I don't know if we're getting carried away. There's reasonable argument for bringing up his retirement. I can recall in his early MotoGP career, he started off with a bang of great results, soon to be followed by a series of sobering, nasty crashes that had him seriously thinking of stopping. That was in his early years in MotoGP!!

His continuing will have everything to do with his sense of having 'unfinished business" with Honda. But he has had really nasty injuries in the last 6 months.
