What did Nostradamus say??

They haven't start yet.
I think it will be one out of Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Dovisiozo.

but to say which one, it'll be a pure gamble.
what if the chosen one crashes in the first race and miss 10 races??
So, still a lot of things can effect on it .

Just bring on the 2009 games and let the games begin,
i promiss not to care for the winner, as long as it's name begins with Vale and finishes with Rossi.

Specially this year is even more difficult than last year.
Now Dovi has a reall bike, Hayden looks fine with his Duc and anything can happend.

That's pretty ........ considering you still aren't expecting the other riders riding the awesome Ducati to be better than 10th.

The post had fanboy written all over it.

The conspiracy is in the rule book this year, so I don't think further conspiracy theories are necessary.

I didn't know you need a huge IQ to select a few names,
<

at least my selection is more realistic and has more weight than that of yours.
and i read some people had chosen the same.

What do you mean by "new stuff" ?
like choosing the back runners instead of top guns?

If you combine both I think you have it ...... ie. a ........ fanboy .... by ........ I mean he's about 1.5 years behind when all the other Rog.'s were saying this sort of crap

choosing last years top 5 riders for being able to get the champs...
saying that everything can happen, with dovi on a factory bike, and hayden on the duc
where have i read that before?

Shakes up my cup of bloody chicken bones and throws them into a circle in the dirt.

The bones say:

1. Rossi - he has everything going for him right now.
2. Stoner - wrist still questionable in the long run.
3. Lorenzo - my pick for most improved, he will work out his crashing issue.
4. Pedrosa - still questionable for the first part of the season with injuries.
5. Dovi - tough call here, Dovi may be able to finish higher being on the factory team.
6. Edwards - he will be the top satellite finisher.
7. Hayden - I want to put him up higher, but testing has shown there is still much to learn.
8. Cappers - looking good in the preseason, this will be his final season, he will beat his teammate.
9. Vermi - always good for a top 10 finish, but just doesn't have enough to get up there.
10. Elias - back on Honda, he will stay in the top 10.
11. Gibbers - return to racing, he will finish in the top 10 mostly.
12. Toesland - seems to be a struggle for #52 so far, hopefully he can break top 10 in the season.
13. Kallio - best of the new rookies.
14. de Angelis - fast guy but he is no Lorenzo or Dovi, plus the Honda he is on is purposefully crippled.
15. de Puniet - final year in GP for the token Frenchman. Crash on monsieur.
16. Canepa - the engineering student was a great test rider, not so sure about his GP potential.
17. Melandri - Hayate who? He is going to have to show the stuff he is made of if he wants to return next year.
18. Takahashi - token rider, enough said.

In the end I wish for what everyone else wants, lots of close & exciting races. More then just one this year please.

i think the 1st four is quite easy, dont get me wrong im not certain: stoner or Lorenzo could steal it from Rossi. after 1st four it is hard to predict, how will Hayden, Sete get on with the Dukes, Suzuki seem strong in testing but will they fall back as the season gets hot? wil Toseland find improvements, if not i expect him to be sent back to SB and Spies given a ride!

1 Valentino Rossi(46)
2 Casey Stoner(27)
3 Jorge Lorenzo(48)
4 Dani Pedrosa(26)
5 Andrea Dovizioso(4)
6 Loris Capirossi(65)
7 Chris Vermeulen(7)
8 Colin Edwards(5)
9 Nicky Hayden(69)
10 James Toseland(52)
11 Tony Elias(24)
12 Sete Gibernau(59)
13 Alex de Angelis(15)
14 Marco Melandri(33)
15 Mika Kallio(36)
16 Randy de Puniet(14)
17 Niccolo Canepa
18 Yuki Takahashi(55)

Going out on a limb here. This is factoring in Stoner's wrist problem not healing very well.

Rossi
Lorenzo
Stoner
Edwards (long shot- he really needs to put a season together to match his preseason perf)
Hayden
Pedrosa (his placement will depend on his recovery, too)

Ok your right about some people maybe , but i believed the same thing ,last season after a few

rounds. i dont have an idea yet about which one of them will become the champ, and at this point i

cant choose a winner between my top 5 .

I chose these people because they have the best material too.

But besides these guys there are, Melandry, Capirossi, Hayden, Gibernow, and ....... that can

eventually change my mind.

but exept Capirossi all of them are in their first year with a new team and they dont

have as good bikes as the top 3 teams.

But still i may change my selection after a few rounds.

Like if Capirossi and Suzuki, Hayden and his Duc and Giber and his duc do a nice job and score

some podiums.

and i certainly hope for it, to watch an exiting championship.

From another topic - from someone who probably is a good judge;

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Nuts @ Feb 22 2009, 05:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Had a short chat with Troy Bayliss about SBK and MoptoGP and he said a couple of interesting things.

Bayliss said he thinks 2009 MotoGP will come down to Casey and Rossi, and will ultimately depend on reliability in the second half of the season. He said he thinks Stoner and Rossi are well ahead of anyone else in the MotoGP field.

Talking about Stoner, he said Stoner is absolutely fearless, and technically very very good. He said Ducati love him.

Rossi or Stoner.
I think Stoner will be more patient this year and will win. Can fully understand people tipping Rossi, but don't understand people writing Stoner off.
If either of these guys get injured or have a series of DNF or crashes, the other will win easily. I think there will be some awsome racing between these guys at the front, and at least one other rider will shine at each round, but no one will be able to string it together like Rossi / Stoner.

I think Jorge is broken mentally. Seems to have lost that 'on the edge' look. Hope e gets it back. He will probably be the best of the rest
