2008 Yamaha WR 250

Check out Yamaha's foray into the Supermoto market.
What I don't understand is the price tag.
You can buy a Suzuki DRZ 400sm for $6199 or buy the Yamaha with 150 less cc's for $5999
For 200 bucks less who's going to buy the Yamaha over the Suzuki?
Am I missing something here?

If i want speed and power...i'll take out my CBR1000... ...The DRZ is not about power...if you get 95 mph out of it you're SCREAMING!
But 0-50 it's quick...I can eat up sport bikes all day long in the tight stuff..
I love it....it's like being 11 again, and jumping on that first dirt bike.. lol
One warning...don't ride one less you plan on spending money...it's hook you. I'll post pics soon...



I guess what I mean is how is the torque. Do you have trouble keeping the front wheel down.
I'm looking for something I can have a blast on under 60 mph.
Basically a grocery getter that will leave me with a .... eating grin.

I just spoke to the owner of a local dealer who went to a demo of the
WR 250 where they were letting people test drive it. He said the front wheel didn't spend much time on the ground.
He claims it's not your average 250.
