Woody Allen would disagree with you.

Pity nobody is thinking of coming these parts.

I live 2 hours drive from Mugello and a friend of mine has a good restaurant on the hills nearby. I usually meet there with old friends, all bikers - Italian, English, American, German, French and even one Indian... also quite a few nice ladies. We could have organized a nice party.
<

The food and wine selection is no problem... Can get real Brunello at bargain prices. Too bad however, Mugello got no votes... Pity. Maybe I'll come to Assen and Brno and we can inflate our bellies with beer there...

I'm more of a Barolo girl but a nice brunello will do me any day.

You bring the Barolo then

Wouldn't happen.... You might be surprised to learn that there are many, many Valentino supporters in Oz. The PI GP was almost a balance between teams 46 & 27 yellow & red in the crowds...

Most aussies aren't quite as one eyed as some might have you believe!

I definitely prefer a Barolo.

Rossi has a huge number of fans in Australia. I was down at Philip Island for the 3 days and i seen more Rossi fans than anything else.

No I'm not. But I've got a couple of bottles of 98 stashed away. They'd make a good start to the weekend.

Huh! I thought I'd feel uncomfortable in Valencia with Rossi and Pedrosa bashing it out for second place but only a tiny handful of people were sporting Pedrosa gear around me. It was Rossi colours all the way. Rossi is a bit like a common heritage of mankind.
You'll find most 'real' aussies (not the species that lurk around trolling forums) tend to be a great, fun-loving easy-going bunch.

It's a great wine, one of the very best... Bikegirl says she has 2 bottles of '98 - hmmm that sounds excellent Bikegirl, it should be about time to open them...

Indeed I shouldn't leave them long now. Probably waiting till Mugello would be overdoing it coming to think of it....sorry boys. It'll have to be Jarno's Brunello then...

I did have some barolo in my cellar but fortunately or unfortunately my cellar is quite close to my computer as some of my late night posts probably suggest and it has not lasted the distance.

Still got lots of good australian reds but nebbiolo has only been planted recently in australia and we have nothing that at all compares with a good barolo.
