It may turn out that the only real advantage Ducati has, is that it uses the fuel better than the others. It is not so much the peak power, it is the fact of making the same power using less fuel, or more power using the same fuel. Remember the stories about hidden reservoirs one year ago?

The above is quoted from Jr4n0 on the "So whats wrong with the other Ducati's" thread.

But my question is... Can anyone tell me or provide a link about the hidden reservoirs? I must of missed that story..

Thanks

Just read the comments after last year's first races - the MotoGP officials verified Ducati's displacement, looked for hidden reservoirs etc. following complains by competing teams.

there were multiple theories going around at the time. one was frozen fuel. another was fuel stored in hidden res... or IIRC, it was something like fuel being stored in extra long linkages along the delivery path. both theories were shot down in post race inspection on multiple occasions.

Well that'd be odd! .... I mean these hidden reservoirs are "hidden" afterall!! ..... and its obviouse the Ducati engineers know how to do stuff ...... so they've "hidden" the hidden reservoirs well.

I wonder if any street going desmosedici will have any hidden reservoirs?

No hidden fuel reservoirs found - but the 34 meter long fuel pipe wrapped around the bike was a concern!

That's true, but if "Ducati's Tech" put in the gas mix an <span style="color:#FF0000additive booster, who knows !
