I'm just wondering if anyone has heard much about who will be where in the AMA MX/SX scene next season. It's been confirmed that Chad Reed will be running his own team with L&M sponsorship, factory support from Yamaha, Nathan Namsey as a second rider and will be managed by Larry Brooks. Brooks ran the Chaparral Yamaha team in which Jeremy McGrath won three consecutive SX titles with.

Mike Brown will return to MXGP for CAS Honda after a lackluster 2006 with Rockstar Suzuki in AMA competition.

Brett Metcalfe will move from Yamaha of Troy to Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki.

Rumors suggest that the void left from Chad Reed's departure from the factory Yamaha squad will be filled with 2000 125cc World Champion, 2003 125cc AMA National Champion, 2005 AMA East 125 Champion and 2006 West Lites Champion Grant Langston.

I know at least Daz has an interest in AMA MX/SX so I thought I would start the thread. Cheers.

Can only tell you that the mighty Stefen Everts has addad another world championship title to his belt,Ooost.

^ Now retired as well now Drill, great crosser that guy.

Thanx for that Ooost, I have been a bit lazy when it comes to pre season motox.

Langston to Yamaha sounds interesting, Likewise Chad Reed running his own team, any news on RC or Bubba?

This MX season is RC's last full season, he will ride select rounds in 2007 and will not be competing in the championship. Rumors suggest he is looking to line up a NASCAR Busch Series drive. To my knowledge, Bubba is staying put at Kawasaki.

I too am looking forward to Langy going to Yamaha. I'm a big fan of his and was so disappointed by all his injuries and the relatively uncompetitive KTMs he rode. It'll be good to see him on a full factory Yamaha. He's a favorite of mine, I'm really hoping he can stay healthy and stay up with Reed and Bubba.

Also, looking forward to seeing Ben Townley healthy and racing (finally).

what a waste!

What else does he have to do with his time? He's done all there is to do in MX/SX, time to move on.

yeah....... but nascrap!

how bout some other form of 2 wheeled racing? anything but that ....

Yeah I know it's a bit disappointing but I'm excited to see how he stacks up if he does it. Just as I'm excited to see how JPM stacks up in Nextel Cup next season and how I was excited to see how Rossi would do in F1. I like the cars/bikes rivalry.

well montoya will prob do allright once he gets acclimated & he's a car guy. rc's a different story. coming from motox to 4 wheels that's a far bigger stretch than rossi going to f1. it's the speed thing ya know.
