<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (JohnnyKnockdown @ Mar 15 2008, 06:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>As much as I hate to say it, every time I have encountered Roger Lee he has always acted as if you were a complete annoyance to him
That's funny. I guess it just matters when you get these guys. I actually met Roger Lee at a nightclub on Cannery Row in Monterey (after the race on Saturday night, he didn't have a Sunday race). He acted as if he was just another patron at the club, nothing special. He hung out after closing and we were in a group talking outside, just shooting the shit. I asked him, ‘shouldn’t you be somewhere asleep and resting?’ That's when he told me he didn't have a race on Sunday. It was rather surreal. But yeah, I know what you mean. I guess I just had a bad experience with Spies at the moment. But I think we can agree that Mladin is a jerk, right?

As much as I try to respect that guy (Mladin) he sure makes it hard to. If you noticed the announcers last week they kept talking about how Mladin looks so much fitter this year. My first thought when I saw him was "Damn who gave him the Aids"
He really looks trim but you know when someone loses too much weight and their skin stretches too tight around their face. That's how he looked. Looking at him on the podium was like looking at a corpse in a casket. I think he lost too much weight.

As far as my experiences with any rider, I try not to judge them based on some dumb interaction they had with a fan. I admit it's hard sometimes but I like to give them the benefit of the doubt unless they were an outright jerk to you.

Dude, I know what you mean. I actually told my buddy when we were watching the race, hey man, Mladin should go get his prostate checked.

As far as liking the riders. Well unless you know them personally, its really hard and basically meaningless to judge them, I agree, but it makes it so much fun to love a few: Haydens, Zemke, Bostroms, Hayes, and hate a few: Mladin, Spies, Hacking, Cardenas.
Who knows really, with only one exception: all I know is I hate Padrosa--and that's an easy one.
