Sykes pole 2:02:246 .8 under previous pole record. Grip seems good!

Nicky starting from 4th - VDM better pull up his pants!

Kawasaki is stupid. Fastest ever Wsbk lap, thanks to repave. Nicky was top three all practices except Q. Let's hope he's on podium in race. Tires need to last.

Tyres expected to drop off due to resurface being more abrasive.

8th place for Nicky in race 1. Could have been 10th if not for two retirements. Not surprising, but it's still frustrating.

Nicky has not figured out the tires. He has the pace. I wonder what the issue is, electronics, rider mismanagement, set up, Honda deficiency? I remember when Sykes would have initial great pace then inevitably drop off when they ran Mitsubishi electronics. Then everything dramatically changed when they went to Marelli.

(Also, just wanted to point out how the commentators described the infamous incident at turn 14 as "The clash between Marquez and Rossi". This is the kind of nuance that paints the narrative it was a "feud" rather than a one-sided attack; as if describing a robbery--a mere dispute between the criminal and a victim.)
