Just when Buell looked to be making some great strides forward, HD pulls the plug, wow. Erik Buell has got to be devastated. Although I wasn't a fan of the rules DMG had in place that gave Buell obvious advantages when racing the AMA this last year, I am certainly sad to see an American sport motorcycle company go by the wayside.

I never had a problem with Buell as a company, i did have a problem with them conspiring with DMG to run a ringer in one of the most popular series in bike racing.I would never have bought one their products simply because they were overpriced ,low technology pieces of equippment ,but i didnt wish them to cease to exist.

What a shame. Eric Buell has been an innovative force in designing and engineering
some truly innovative motorcycle technology.
I wonder what he will do next.

The horse you hitched your wagon to,just fell over dead.Let the sucking up begin.

For some reason this popped in my head. Just substitute Roger for Randy and Ray Blank for JJ

Damn... hate to see anyone who worked that hard and that long
have the rug pulled out from under. I actually remember seeing
his first race bike with the old Rotax engine in the pits at Daytona
in '84 when I was on crew for a fellow racer and thinking how cool
it was that an iconoclastic American was going up against the big four.
Never been a fan of his bikes but there are certainly lots of folks out
there who have been.

I am surprised Buell lasted as long as they did. Their bikes were simply ok. The main problems were the bikes were unreliable, and they used Harley engines. DMG has alienated the manufacturers people actually want to watch race. Obviously DMG did not perform enough due diligence in examining Buell's financial stability.

Let's see. DMG promotes a single manufacturer and said manufacturer folds. RE is now officially a tosser.

Would love to hear the Cheers @ Am Honda today when that news broke. Talk about tucking the ole tale between the legs and kiss that big H ass.....

All that cheating in the AMA could not help sell a buell.
