Business is hurting at Suzuki. The first and most pertinent question is, will they be able to mount a comeback to motogp? That's serious stuff. |

Depends what the exact reason is, Chapter 11 is no big deal in some cases. When I was working for Delphi over there when they filed for C11 it was only so they could break the contracts with their old GM employees who were getting $40 an hour for doing sod all. Sounds like Suzi are just streamlining and cutting back in areas that don't pay well, like US car sales.

Yes, I did some googling and discovered that Suzuki is basically screwed in the US but has been making inroads into emerging markets. Good on 'em, they do make a nice motorcycle. I love their new car the Kizashi, looks horn. I really was blissfully unaware of the change in market dynamics until that came up. |
