Business is hurting at Suzuki. The first and most pertinent question is, will they be able to mount a comeback to motogp?

That's serious stuff.

Depends what the exact reason is, Chapter 11 is no big deal in some cases. When I was working for Delphi over there when they filed for C11 it was only so they could break the contracts with their old GM employees who were getting $40 an hour for doing sod all. Sounds like Suzi are just streamlining and cutting back in areas that don't pay well, like US car sales.

They are doing really well in India. They just opened their largest factory, ever, IIRC. They are the biggest selling car maker in a country of over 1B people... I suspect they don't give a shit about car sales in the US.

Yes, I did some googling and discovered that Suzuki is basically screwed in the US but has been making inroads into emerging markets. Good on 'em, they do make a nice motorcycle. I love their new car the Kizashi, looks horn.

I really was blissfully unaware of the change in market dynamics until that came up.

Not so sure about the looks, nothing spectacular. But what is these days?

What I'm interested in is the donk; I believe it is a reworked 1400 lifted from the 'Busa.

I always wanted to drop one in my "Toy Terios". Which is basically a city version of the Rocky.

Very capable car. I've taken it on many of the hardcore tracks around this area like the CREB track and the Bloomfield track, two biggest drawbacks aside from the asthmatic engine at present.

The narrow wheeltrack can sometimes make life difficult in Cruiser country. Oh, and It's a bit light, so tends to float when crossing deep rivers. Not good. Particularly when the rivers are inhabited by salties.

Their Swift got COTY in the UK, I think. My daughter bugged me for ages to get her one. Ended up getting her an Alto No PS or AC, no power to speak of, shit brakes and not a safety feature in sight. Told her if she hit anything she would die.
