It's not something i've ever been able to afford, but something i've always wanted to do. Maybe one day.

I Ride: Many
In my mis-spent youth I partook liberally, flagrantly, obsessively, Many codes.

Thought of making a comeback when invited, by some youngies starting up a new club, to a local track for a "look" prior to possibly "having a go" again ..... but I was actually in my 30's then and just watching the start brought back all the old heart pounding anxiety of waiting for the gate to drop ........felt like I would die if I "had a go" I decided I was past it.

I do however have a goal to race a bit of speedway again before i die ( maybe I can find an old codgers league or something.?) ......... bugger the anxiety speedway is just so fun. Not sure I could last 4 laps these days though When folk ask if i still race these days I say "no, I can't find a track with a motel on every corner"

Still ride profusely, much on road and much bush (tight, hard, steep, rugged type bush and some wide open dirt roads ).

Refuse to do a track day ....... too frustrating, you go on a track to go as fast as you can, and they seem to frown on that at track days and want you to just cruise around in a single line ...... I don't think I'd get it .

I'd also strangely love to race minimotos ..... have one but never went through with racing it.

I've had a year off to get back into my studies. It's a dollar issue. Basically my whole income was going into racing bikes, something that people should be well aware of before they even let the bug bite at all... and it does bite hard.

Road racing, supermoto, and dirt track.

What do you do Ryan?

Me? Nothing. yet. I'm hoping to get involved in trials, as its a relatively cheap form of competing (the ACU license is only 10 a year and clubs don't charge as much as road racing and motocross)

I see your from the north, look for a local club once you have the kit and start with the easy route and you shouldn't go far wrong.

I know quite a few peeps in the yorkshire area doing trails so if your around my neck of the woods drop me a pm and I could probs put you in touch with someone.

This is local earlier in the year

Good thinking. Motocross is very cheap relative to tarmac sports. You could also have a crack at dirt track, grass track, flat track, sand racing.... and so on. In the lower levels, bike doesnt matter near so much.
