Because he has split with Dani Amatriain whose old number was 48. AFAIK that is the only reason Lorenzo runs #48 and if the split is at all acrimonious....

I know its between 23 and 99 i wonder if the 23 has anything to do wit Michael Jordan he is the one that made that number poular then everyone else jumped on it ex. Beckham
