yes, he's a big fish in a little pond at the moment. I don't know if he realizes he may need to take a pay cut to jump in the big pond. He better realize it sooner while there's still a place for him.

Please.

He probably makes 2 mil after all of his winnings, salary, bonuses, and endorsements in the AMA. I wouldn't go to WSBK for less---not in a million years; especially if DMG have already offered him big money to stay.

He doesn't have an ego, he has guaranteed money in the bank elsewhere.

Anyway, this article is coming from Motociclismo which is a SPANISH TABLOID as far as I'm concerned. Though most of their reports are in the realm of possibility I don't think this one is.

Doesn't Dovi have a two year deal with JiR that only HRC can breach?

I haven't been able to find the article but didn't he look for a massive sum from gresini and was turned down

He has so much money already in the bank, why not take whatever the "standard" pay is in motogp for the first year or two untill he makes a name for himself(worldwide), it would be a shame to see him in WSBK and not motogp

The question thats begging to be asked is,Why,do the Europeans agree to ride for peanuts when the sport is so popular on that continent. Its basically nothing over hear yet our riders make 2 and 3 times as smuch money.Somebody needs some new agents or they need to form a riders union.Somebody is making millions of this gig and its not the riders.I dont blame Spies one bit for not risking his life to entertain others for shit pay. This business is a short career, you have to bank early and often. If fucking John Hopper can make 3 million a year,i see no reason Spies should not make at LEAST 2 million. His resume is much mor e impressive.

A rider is never more valuable than the price people are willing to pay for them. If a team can get an equally good performance for less money then they will.

I disagree, this is all about marketing and who is ultimatley going to sell the manufacturer more bikes. And like it or not, they are after the largest buying market on the planet, the United States.Kawasaki didnt pay Hopper 3 million because they though he would win a title on that turd, they paid him to sell bikes in the states.Im sure they could have found a rider for much less money to get the results they have achieved this year, dont you think. If you put Spies on a bike and it helps you sell twice as many bikes than an equally talented rider, who would you pay more.
