Despite crying from Puig 2 things are happening next season that are not in Dani's favor:

1) Dovi is most likely coming to the factory team
2) As revealed by Julian Ryder at Brno, the 2008 customer bike will be pneumatic valved

Is Pedrosa on his way out at Honda? Where will he go if next seasons campaign isn't successful?

Does a pneumatic valved engine mean that Hayden will ride with Spies on team Gresini with Honda USA footing the bill?

Nakano is riding the customer bike for 2009 (I hope thats what you meant) and it is the spring valved, I'm pretty sure...

I voted no. For one, there is the inevitable control tire supplied by Bridgestone next year that will happen. Dani complained at the end of last year about Michelin sucking, he was demanding Bridgestones. Only Rossi had the clout to pull of that one. Well Dani will get his wish come next year, Bridgestones for everyone, this will give him an advantage over what he has now (crap results by Michelin). He is still going to be Honda's number 1 guy, due to his wins of the past couple years.

I agree Dovi may be a threat to his #1 ranking within HRC, however, although I like Dovi I think people are overrating him a bit. I have a feeling he won't be a front runner as everyone expects, I hope I am wrong for the sake of racing entertainment.

Honda offering similar engine machinery to the satellite teams does take away a bit of a possible advantage he could have had, but they can still offer only certain parts/electronics to the HRC team or specific team members (Dani) if they want to. If Dani has another season of not winning the title in 2009, would HRC drop him, somehow I doubt it, guess it depends on his performance. If he is the top Honda finisher for the year (likely I think), he stays.

All the rumors point towards Hayden leaving any form of Honda behind and trying out the Ducati, I wish him luck, and hope he can break the jinx Stoner has put on the #2 bike.

Spies at Gresini? Who the hell knows, silly freaking season big time this year.

Hayden should leave HRC and move to Malrboro Duc next year. I think he can handle Duc better than Honda and should be a good sparing partner to Stoner. As for Spies ,it will be a good deal for him to ride Gressini Pneumatic Honda rather than riding those Rizla Suzis. Exponentially, that Suzi is not catching up with HRC, Yam and Duc.

Pedrosa has one more year to prove his worthiness. As long as his mentor-Mr Puig is there to back him, Pedrosa will always be HRC child..

Hayden AND Spies at Gresini next season? No way.

2 Americans on an Itialin-sponsored, Italian-managed MotoGP team just isn't going to happen. Even if Honda USA were to kick in some cash, I still can't imagine it happening.

As for Dani...if he's on Crapelins again next season I think all bets are off.

that depends how HRC feel about michilin. if they are pro michilin then yes i think dani and hrc will come to blows but if hrc are looking for an excuse to push dorna into a rule change than dani may be hrc's tool to do this.

Pedrosa is in a very exclusive group of riders who have ridden for Honda and only Honda throughout their career. He will be joined by another one of those riders next year in Dovisioso.

I think Peddy and Honda have a very solid relationship with a massive amount of respect shown from one to another and vice versa. I think Dovi coming to Repsol next season will only strengthen the Pedrosa/HRC relationship because Dovi will help the RC212V get back up to the level that past Honda's have been at aswell as providing good, solid results for both himself and the team. This will obviously make Peddy more competitive as he would have a solid friendly/unfriendly rivalry with very competitive teammate which would encourage him to push maybe that little bit harder to try and be the top Repsol.

I think the Repsol Honda line up will be the best Repsol have had since the glory days of the 90's when there used to be 3-4 Repsol bikes out there with Doohan, Criville, Ukawa and Gibernau and I think Fiat Yamaha and Repsol will have a fantastic feud for the team championship crown.

firstly theres no "will" about it. nothing has been decided yet.

the second point is a fantasy of yours. theres no way dani will like having a competitive team mate, dani want its all he does not want to share.

and thirdly doohan and criville never got on, doohan always whined alex was following him,i bet dani would be the same

Good way of looking at it. But if Michelin continue to disappoint, it will be very hard for HRC to justify staying with them. Look to Dovi, Colin, Lorenzo, and Toseland to play into the life expectancy of Michelin in MotoGP. If they don't have any success and trail the Bstones from here on out in dramatic fashion as they did in the last two races, then its over for Michelin.

As far as HRC and Dani--they love eachother.
