<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Dani Pedrosa undertook a bare minimum of laps on the opening day of post-race testing in Brno - after just eleven turns the Spaniard was ready to write off the entire weekend and leave the Czech Republic. His last lap came at 12.30pm, and there will be no more activity from the Repsol Honda rider on Tuesday.

`We tried some different front tyres that Michelin brought here for this test, but we finished after a few laps because we couldn´t find any improvement,´ said the 2007 MotoGP World Championship runner-up.

`We tested the tyres with my current race bike; there was no point using the machine with the pneumatic-valve engine because the tyres weren't working well enough. We have rescheduled this test for Misano, on the Monday after the San Marino GP.´

Thoughts on this one??

I am pretty biased against Danny but what the hell is he doing. There is a bunch of hard work to be done and it doesn't all include tire testing. CE was able to improve his times during the testing on the new rubber brought in. Danny gave it 11 laps then called it quits. I wonder who made the call, him or Honda. Tady said the bike improved a lot since his last test so Nicky must have been doing something. He also said the bike is ready and really was hoping to see Dani on it. Not usre if Danni is crying away this season because it is lost to him or what.

I'm not surprised if HRC brings Bridgestone to their garage next year

Testing at a track will only help the tire company gain insight into what will work better next year at the same t track. No point in Pedrosa risking injury to help Michelin out.

I think it's pretty obvious Pedrosa doesn't have Nicky's dedication to the sport. He is also incapable of riding through serious problems.

That said, I don't blame him for leaving. Michelin are useless on resurfaced tracks (or maybe useless in general) and I suspect they will not be around next season. Honda are also useless.

I don't know ,i'm biased against him too.Maybe he tried to make a statement for the governing parts to push for Bridgestones. But didn't he say he was happy with Michelins when Hayden wanted Bridgestones, not sure.
He could be hurting from his injuries,or Honda told him to make a statement, could be a lot of things.
It could be that Honda didn't want him to go out and do crappy laptimes on their newest shiniest machine making every body wonder about HRC.Or he is a primadonna.

That's not the point. Everyone has had choice words for Michelin especially Nicky and Colin.

However, neither of them left testing early.

............but Nicky's not at BRNO blah blah blah

Save it. He's had plenty of chances to walk and he hasn't. Unless you believe he is faking this foot injury in an attempt to sit out the remainder of the season.

The test was rescheduled to give time Michelin to make some tyres that will actually work, there's no point in running around with useless tyres, today there were just 2 Michelin riders testing cause it's obvious they still are running the same shit Michelin had for the race.

You don't gain any testing knowledge lapping 3 seconds off the pace, it's the most sensible idea to leave it for better moment.

About dedication ... well Dani rode a race in pain suffering to get one shitty point that will most likely wont be useful for nothing, he went to Laguna despite Doctors told him you wontbe able to race, he wanted to try. So IMO his determination to is beyond doubts. What Michelin was doing in this test is WASTING their riders time. No point in testing something you've already seen doesn´t work during the weekend. As usual Dani haters taking a dig at Dani for anything he does ... so sad.

Nick has wasted 5 season with Honda. 1 season was worthwhile. When Pedrosa suffers for 5 years, I will accept your argument.

Nicky has had the privilege to ride for HRC 5 years, 90% of the riders on the grid would give a kidney to be in his position, I wish him good luck wherever he goes next season, he'll need it. And he proved he's a very dedicated and tenacious rider in that time. But that has nothing to do with the topic though.
