He allready said in an interview that he has to change his style and adapt to the electronics cause he uses very little TC compared to Stoner. He says he has fix the problem with the front of the bike but he now has to fix the rear. Maybe the duc is not good for him. Hes a hell of a rider. He should have stayed on the honda. He was the second bridgestone rider on the field last seaon. On a shit bike. compared to the rest of the field.

Either he has trust on the TC or give the bike to one of the rookies who would probably learn to cope with it faster.

I said Marco would let us know whether or not Stoner is the real deal.

I guess now we know. Melandri isn't even within a second of Stoner yet.

Personally I never believed it. I remember writing here that the Ducati is a very difficult bike and that Melandri has never been good at setting up bikes, even the easy ones. I am sorry for Marco if my evaluation was correct, but the mess he's in, unfortunately confirms it. At least for now.

He's been on and tried the Yamaha, Honda and now Ducati .... he won't ever win a MotoGP title ... IMO!

It is said that "the cream comes to the top" - unfortunately for Marco he is the "curd"!

He did nothing on the Yamaha except get injured a lot. He only rode the Honda well when everything was perfect. I don't know why Ducati employed him. Was he first choice to replace Loris?

Their first choice was Hayden, if I remember well, but Nicky preferred to stick to Honda. I would still like to see Hayden on the Ducati though... Second choice was Melandri, third choice Stoner.

Before Stoner demonstrated he could actually stay on a bike long enough to win races consistently, he wasn't on anybody's short list. Ducati were the only ones offering him a factory ride. They've been lucky Gresini kept Melandri forcibly for one more year and obliged them to go to Casey.
