You probably know as much as I do, but the SC joint is difficult if there is a major dislocation, and likely to leave you with deformity and decreased range of motion with surgical options, particularly delayed surgery options, limited. Shouldn’t interfere too much with everyday life, but can be difficult with some sporting pursuits. The most lethal cricketing fast bowler in history was never the same after that injury, although the acute surgical option applied to him was very likely not the best. My father who was a professional athlete carried such an injury for all his adult life. He could still throw playing cricket but it really hurt even for someone as stoic as he was.

Accurate. I had other injuries that took priority and they didn't even find this for a couple months. I broke a vertebra and some ribs(front and back). So they weren't paying much attention to my shoulder. Even though thats what I complained about the most. I feel the neck brace didn't allow it to heal properly possibly the reason it never went back in place. The pain on my collar bone was horrible. I begged to stop having to wear the neck brace but the dr always responded with, its your neck its more important. By the time they found it and talk of surgery was an option there was a lot of scar tissue holding it in place. Although it still moves they thought it wasn't worth getting the surgery to fix it. It probably wouldn't become more stable. So instead I do strength and flexibility exercises for it daily to help give it mobility. Riding isnt all that hard but other things are. Like throwing, I find it easier to throw side arm now.
