Yep, I just reread your post and I misunderstood it the first time I read it.

I doubt he is that worried about the money. Money is secondary and wanting to be the highest paid is probably more of an ego trip rather than a desperate need or want for money/being rich.

Just read that he is finished. Yamaha terminated the contract effectively immediately.

I hope he just leaves it for the rest of this season racing-wise. Take a few weeks off, relax then get some tests done with Aprilia.

The last thing he needs right now is to jump on the Aprilia straight away and try to race it...

The only surprise is it took them this long to terminate the contract.

What a stupid fucking wanker.

There is however a learning opportunities to be had here for all up and coming riders about what happens when you decide to act like a 3 year old instead of a grown adult GP rider.

If you follow international business news, you know that the Japanese politicians and corporate types regularly express their disdain for Western culture - because of the Japanese perception of the sloppiness of Western manufacturing and the general lack of discipline in Western culture. If they could produce Japanese riders as good as the best Western riders, European riders would always being 2nd tier members on the teams. Vinalesí termination sends a message to all riders. As far as Yamaha is concerned, the star of the show, is the bike, not the rider. And you donít fuck with the star.

Ducati?

Riders come and go. I can understand the teams position, especially on matters as these. There are so many other prospects. Why waste a moment longer with a rider who has clearly fallen out of love with the team to the point of overtly destructive behaviour.

Maybe he even wanted this, he was obviously miserable at Yamaha.

So what are the chances Aprilia gives him a wild card before the end of the season?

It wouldnít surprise me if Yamaha has a clause to prevent that, even post-dismissal, something they could at their discretion choose to overlook as a good will gesture to a competing team.
