Will Yamaha keep him "punished" until the end of the year so he doesn't get on the Aprilia?

Absolutely not crazy. Vinales had no prior record of shady activities. He can be quick. He is really motivated to win and he publicly apologised to Yamaha. He has received public support from his fellow riders. I’m not surprised Aprilla signed him.

He was suspended and deservedly so. Should his career be ended? I don’t think so.

His career is finished going to Aprilia.

Can't wait to see when the complaining starts once he realizes every other factory is faster than Aprilia.

I presume the deal was already done and the incident didnít change things for Aprilia.

I finally saw the incident on the Australian pre-race coverage this weekend. Totally bizarre and out of character for Vinales I would have thought. I guess they scrap the bikes at the end of the year so the bike itself isnít worth 60 million, but Yamaha are pretty close to Ducati in the manufacturers title race which is presumably a major objective of their programme. It does seem to be the case thatís there can be only one at Yamaha, but I still absolutely canít fathom the incident and his motive if any. If the bike stalling was a bike problem rather than his own error I guess that might explain some frustration on his part at least.

Almost certainly imo. I'd be very surprised if they let him back on the bike after his stunt.

Actually he has. He walked out on the Blusens Avintia team the night before a race back in 2012 I think when he was still in contention for the title in Moto3. He's known for being spontaneous and acting on his emotions rather then logic.

He may be 'motivated to win' but he hasn't. He's virtually done nothing but moan about the M1 since round 5 of the 2017 championship and now his new team mate is smoking him and leading the championship. He's has 5 seasons to 'come good' and hasn't, so he never will sadly.

I don't see it ending well at Aprilia, if he has outbursts at Yamaha he is sure to have them at Aprilia. Look at Redding.

It likely will end there as you say.

If it does, then he will have to look in the mirror and claim full responsibility. He cannot complain about what-ifs. He had a solid opportunity and let his emotions get the better of him.

The earlier he takes responsibility and stops blaming those around him, the earlier he will stop his whinging, and outbursts such as this one that earned him a suspension, will not happen again.

I suspect he decided to go to Aprilia simply because there will be no pressure there for him to win there like there was on the factory Yamaha. Fabio summed it up in the Austrian press conference when he said there's nothing wrong with the bike. Vinales seems to be the problem.

Does this mean Dovi will go to SRT Yamaha or announce he has retired?
