They’re in the WSBK, what’s the reason? R&D?

ROI same reason Kawasaki left Motogp and is in and dominates WSBK now.

The top brass in those companies know they won’t be able to field a competitive team for MotoGP. To do that would cost a lot of moolah without any guarantee of success. Not many people in the boardroom will want to take that chance.
