So far the discussion centres around success, not talent.
Success in MotoGP is linked with talent, isn't it? Of course, my point here points to a trend. Outliers will exist, especially talents without as much success as another. Only certain fans seem ready to devalue consistent success, claiming everything other than talent to account for it..

While the results speak for themselves, especially one that reflects consistent success, one can claim talent for any other rider by just claiming it is so, isn't it? It then begs for a basis and explaining, finally taken as an opinion, popular or otherwise.

IMO, talent means speed and the cream rises to the top eventually, given the opportunity.

Talent is a skill superior to that of most in an activity, sometimes natural and sometimes we can cultivate it.

Stoner could conceivably have had the career of a Bradl or Zarco (thus far) had he not somewhat fluked a 1 year essentially caretaker factory Ducati ride at exactly the right time.

I believe the 2 most important factors are talent and mindset. Imo only, MM and Rossi have/had both the talent and the mindset in spades, Stoner had the talent but not the mindset to continue acquiring multiple titles, and Jorge had the mindset but perhaps slightly less talent in this highly elite company.
completely agree with you, very good analisys
