Lorenzo to satellite Ducati !!??

Surprised this thread hasn't been started already...

I'm sure we've all read it but to sum up we're hearing rumours of Jorge taking Jack Miller's bike as a full spec GP20 next year with considerable factory support or at least more than Miller gets.

Discuss...

I sincerely doubt HRC would let a multiple time world champion leave without seeing out his contract, if only because of the loss of face. Honda are too proud to let Jorge walk away and concede that the bike is only championship material in Marc's hands.

Contracts have been bought out before, it depends on how bad Ducati wants it. To be useful for Ducati it must be full factory support, nothing less. Basically, they should have three factory riders.

Would likely have to be in place of Miller if it happened, and it would have to be a satellite ride because I can't see Lorenzo and Dovi on the same team again.

BT sport commentators are saying Lorenzo is volunteering to ride for them for free....and for him to go to Pramac....Ducati wouldnt have to buy out the Honda contract under those conditions, but JLo would have to buy himself out of it...

Didnt Cal do the same to leave Ducati?

Eitherway, if it JLo goes he has to win from day 1, if he cant then he's done for good in the paddock....

Assuming that this is somewhat true, there are 3 possible/likely scenarios.

1. Lorenzo and Miller swap with JL to Pramac and Miller to HRC
2. Lorenzo goes to Pramac and Miller is left in the lurch with no ride - this leaves one seat in HRC that could be filled by a few options, some of which may open a door for Miller (ie. Zarco/Nakagimi) others not so (Bautista/Bradl)
3. Lorenzo and Dovisioso swap rides. D'allagnia has preferred JL while Domencali is more a Dovi fan but the factory wants a title and Dovi is not likely. Couple with the antipathy between them which may see Dovi not want JL back on the same bike (well before same team). This then means Petrucci is second to JL and Miller holds seat.

Alternately, this could all be talk for 2021.

I would quite happily lose both Dovi and particularly Petrucci myself, but can hardly claim to be unbiased.

To sum it up.

Lorenzo goes to:
Honda;
Ducati;
Petronas;
beach.

Anything I missed? To replace Rossi at Yamaha perhaps?
