Yes Jorge looked the faster of the two riders at the end of Jorge's tenure, however he was never dominant enough to risk upsetting Dovi.

The fact is, with the right superstar rider from the junior classes Ducati might have an honest hope of beating Marquez. At the moment they are over engineering the bike in the hope they can make up for the deficiencies of the riders they have. In my honest opinion this is the wrong path.

Without Marc Honda wouldn't be where they are. Without Rossi/Lorenzo Yamaha would not have the championships they have acrued, and (to go really old school) without Schwantz, Suzuki would not have won a championship before the distinctly average Roberts Jr. To think it is a machine problem is a fools errand. The fact is whenever a bike has had real success it required a rider atop it to really leverage its strengths.
By the end of the year, Petrucci will have passed "Doubtouso" on the standings.

So we will have that moron's face ever complaining about not having the Yamaha curve speed.

Doubtouso is in MotoGP with only his body. His mind is clearly in another world.

Has Honda ever ended a riders contract halfway in a year deal?
I think HRC did not take up the second year option for Biaggi during his failed factory season in 2005.

I'd like to think Rins, quartararo and Rossi will do well this weekend. It's a riders circuit, along with being a not major horsepower track. I'll predict those three in any order.

The question is (if Jorge doesn't improve), do they hire Nakagami for the 2020 season, or do they wait one more year where a top rider may be available (and if so, who)?

They could give Nakagami a one year contract for 2020, see how he performs with full factory support....before they decide if he can extend into 2021....

What HRC will be doing is waiting to see what MM does post 2020....MM surely will be hotly sought by Ducati (Audi money), and surely it must by tempting for him to consider jumping to win the title on a second manufacturer.....legacy, history, goatness and all that....

JsLo is the past, and he must know it.....and surely HRC (as well as Yamaha / Suzuki) know it as well...

As a side note....Rossi should go run a team and stop racing....after he wins this weekend and a few more races.....if he wants to keep racing then he should jump over to the MotoE series....and give that series more attention for its future....

I Personally think that Rossi will stop after next year. His contract will be up and, unless things change dramatically for him, I think he would of had enough.

If FQ continues the way hes going right now on that Petronas Yamaha then he could be a good replacement for Rossi in the factory setup.
