His laptimes do not prove that he would not have been faster if he had a decent starting position and was with the front runners.
Tyre degradation plays a part, as it did for all of the riders on the grid. Rossi was hovering behind the front 3 in most of the practice sessions that weekend and qualified in 12th (due to coming off I think)???

I dont see why you think during the race he would have been lapping faster than other others if he had started further up the grid... his lap-times during that weekend dont support your theory that he had better pace than Lornezo and could have won.

I dont know why so many of Rossi's fans feel he was so hard done by, his (very deliberate) altercation that caused Marc to crash at Sepang netted him 3rd along with the 16 points when he should have resulted in a black flagged or at minimum a ride through penalty. He got off lightly.

Marc served a 30 second penalty for colliding with Rossi at Argentina, a racing incident by comparison compared to deliberately forcing someone wide and off the line. If Rossi received the same 30 second penalty at Sepang it would have been championship over???

The only crying i remember from after the Argentina race was from Uccio when Marc tried to apologise for making a mistake.

I feel the majority of Rossi fans are only watching MGP for him and when hes gone they will be to.

They have zero interest in the sport.

And what race tracks would that be ???
For a supposed Brit you're highly critical of your Ilk.

What's up ? Do you not like newcomers upsetting your status quo with your peers or dumb shits that agree with your every word !!!

BTW re: Brits vs Americans: In the modern age of the sport starting 1976 there's been one (great) Brit Championship winner Barry Sheene w two championships.

In the same period: there have been 3 Championships by King Kenny, 2 from Fast Freddie (not inclusive of the same year double 250 championship) 4 championships from Lawson, 4 from Wayne Rainey, 1 from Schwantz, 1 from KR Jr., and one from Nicky Hayden.

If that's how you define fat useless gobshites and losers - I can live with it.

You went off on a tanget, but still are missing the point that comparing his laptimes with riders at the front isn't a fair comparison because the front riders didn't have to deal having to overtake so many riders.

Even in his prime, Rossi would lag behind in practice sessions and or qualifying yet have a much better pace on Sunday.

I'm not saying that I know Rossi would've been fast enough to ride at the front had he not started from the back of the grid, my only point was that you also don't know.

Nobody 'knows' what could of happened including Rossi??? If thats the point you're trying to make.

I dont see why Rossi's tyre degradation would have been so much worse compared to the others (the entire field actually) as you are suggesting based on nothing more than the fact he got stuck behind slower traffic and had to pick them off??? Sure he lost time to the leaders who checked out but why would he sufferer far worse tyre degradation than anybody else by doing slower laptimes???
