I Ride: A bicycle.
David Emmett

Rins, currently third in the championship, has proved himself to be a big talent this year. Oho Mr Emmett, -1 for poor maths.
He posted that 7 hours ago.
What other mistakes does he make?

I think restricting website content to paying customers only is questionable at least. But then again, none of my business, really.

Never been a fan of bullying and over the top troll-shite behavior - but a site without a bit of piss-taking gets to be a bit milquetoast which is what Dave's site seems to me.

I personally have knee-jerk reaction if I detect anything provocative. Starting an article in a free page and then continuing it in a non-free page is just that - provocation. Luring suckers. Not me, thank you very much.

Making a living as an independent MotoGP journalist is not an easy task. Monitizing content is pretty much SOP.

In an age where so many professions have been devalued, with newspapers and journals of all kinds devastated by the advent the internet - where the public become increasingly incapable of discerning the difference between recycled news, bogus news and click bait - where people are always expecting everything to be free, they lose sight of what it means to have access to truly insightful journalism that's worth paying for.

You get what you pay for is not just a cliche. Personally, I get really tired of having to sort through all the fluff and melodramatic shit writing on sports to get to the stories with real substance.

I think he was very good, well informed back when he posted on here, and one of the closest to being an honest man among those who cover gp bike racing.

I think he has gone towards being less controversial rather than proffering clickbait, but have sympathy for him as someone trying to make a living from being an independent motogp journalist, particularly a web-based one, which must be a fraught existence as everyone says. Any strong critical opinion on a rider is likely to alienate that rider’s fans, and his access must be at the whim of involved parties as well.
