If he decides this year is his last I think that Quatararo and Pentronas could be in and excellent position. Not keen on seeing Álex on a factory Honda next year who could be the obvious replacement.

As soon as the question about retirement seems like a sensible one, it's too late. The desire has gone.

Time to hang up his helmet.

The stars seem to be aligning for his retirement. He's not having his current difficulties during a period where he's young. Additionally, there's a lot of young talent on the grid and knocking at the door.

His management has recently stated that the retirement rumors are fake, and that Jorge will honor his contract with HRC racing with them until the end of 2020.

And personally I 100% believe it.

You can say a lot about the guy, good and bad things, but he definitely isn't a quitter.

Good,

If management says it was fake then it was fake.

I have read it on an Italian site. Hope it's true, I'd love to see him racing for a few more years. I don't believe he is done.
