I Ride: R6
I think Jorge would've fought MM for the title in 2019 if he stayed on the Duke.

Yep, he was more of a threat to Marc on a Ducati than he will be on the Honda.

I rank MM higher than CS at this point which is no small feat. But at this point MM is clearly the superior rider. He forced Lorenzo and Rossi into crashing out in 2016 at Motegi, then did the same think to Dovizioso in 2018. He doesn't have a superior bike, but he makes it work for him. Makes me wonder how Lorenzo is going to do on that bike since it's less stable than the Desmosedici. He may take well to it, or he may take time to gell with it. I don't think MM has any fear of having Lorenzo in the garage with him.
ive made this comparison to people quite a few times and i believe it fits.

casey stoner = lebron james supremely talented maybe the most talented ever but no killer instict. if he loses there is always next year or a new team.

marc marquez is michael jordan. maybe not the most talented but worked his butt off every year. said he couldnt play d made the all defensive team said he couldnt shoot long distance developed a three. said he couldnt pass became almost a point guard. you get the idea. More importantly the killer instict. give you a look and you knew you werent going to win. beat you at every aspect. winning is the only thing. there is no tomorrow this is why marquez is the best ever and why MJ is the best ever.

PS Jordan and marquez have beat the absolute best LJ Rossi Stoner not so much.

KTM isn't competitive. I think you are mistaken. Ducati is the best bike at this time, but the Honda is obviously good enough for the best rider, Marquez. I truly believe that Marquez would still be the man on a Ducati or a Yamaha. Aprilia or KTM might be sketchy.

No doubt MM has more killer instinct which is a large part of why he is the superior rider.

However, while you can critcise Stoner for not winning in 2012 and take issue with him for not having the drive to continue his career/choosing to finish his career so young, he did beat the same elite riders MM has beaten if many fewer times, and it is rather harsh imo to criticse him for not having more killer instinct on the Ducati, a bike no body else including near prime Rossi could ride in a vaguely competitive fashion let alone win races on after 2007.

Look now, people differ. Not having killer instinct is not an imperfection. As a matter of fact, people who do not feel the need to go out and be "the best of the best of the best" live much happier life. Stoner saw how toxic is the environment in the MotoGP and his ego wasn't big enough to keep him there. Same time the dude who created this toxic environment is called a great ambassador and promoter of motorsport [my foot].
