I've never heard of or read tug mclutchin, my first thought when reading your post was you had a nickname for someone. Thanks for showing him to me. He is a better version than Boris Mihailovic.

Been reading him the last couple of years, his best was talking about Jorge after just the 4th race of the year, the guy is a genius at sorting the wheat from the chaff IMO, even when he's 9 sheets to the wind.

A good read. Thanks from me as well. A little less crazed and more analytical than Boris. i don’t think he gives KRJR and Nicky enough credit though, both rode wonderfully in their title years without the equipment advantage many title winners have had imo.

If Rossi hadn’t gone on this obsessive and fruitless quest for the 10th title which he didn’t need to surpass Agostini anyway, even in the view of nearly all the “haters” on this forum, he wouldn’t be involved in direct comparisons with MM now. Both would rightly be regarded as having dominated their own eras with any comparison purely theoretical; the former is still the case to be fair, but I think the perception is altered given their career overlap, unless MM goes on to his own equivalent of Rossi’s Ducati adventure or is eclipsed himself by some young charger when in his mid 30s.

Rossi has not won a championship since MM showed up. He was beaten by JLo on the same bike, but the yellow horde continues with the goat story because Rossi has 7 titles. I can't tell you how stressful it is that MM missed a year, where he tried too hard on the inferior Honda. Now, I just hope I survive long enough for him to AT LEAST tie Rossi's titles and prove that he is better, even to the horde, since he will have beaten Rossi every damn time.
