I Ride: Honda CRF250 (modified for Dirt Track)
#04: I am so happy to be wrong :)

I thought, said and wrote that despite being a huge fan of Andrea Dovizioso, it would have been hard for him to fight for a championship again and that 2017 was a stellar season for a really good (but not title-good) rider. I also said that I would have been very happy to be wrong.

Being a Homo Sapiens (and not a Neanderthal like a few in here) I am able to understand that the fact that he's my favorite rider doesn't mean that he's the best rider on the track, nor the best in history, nor the one that should have won but was unlucky on that day

That being said, I am happy to say I was wrong. I was in Misano on sunday and could witness the immensity of his speed, as well as the stabilty and insane acceleration of both the Ducatis and how Dovi was taking advantage of this, sending his bike out of the corners like a rocket. The bike is sure helping him but the way he rode (on a track that he never really liked) hammering down fast lap after fast lap was nothing like the Dovi I've seen before the end of 2016.

This title is safely in Marc's hands already but Dovi didn't have a lucky season, he really has done the step IMHO.

Don’t worry, he’s never winning another championship again.

The Dovi-Ducati combination simply works. Dovi was impressive at Misano and will battle for championships.

The Ducati is the best bike, and Dovi is an excellent rider. The Ducati's characteristics suit Dovi's style (hard on the brakes, then point and shoot).

I don't think Dovi would beat Mav or VR on the Yamaha, or MM on the Honda over a season, but I'm just guessing.

Absolutely faultless, dominant ride. Lorenzo crashed trying to challenge him, and MM accepted he couldn't match his pace.

I have chosen not to react to any of your pointless and annoying comments ever since I signed up on the forum a few months back and I noticed you immediately started this irreverent behaviour towards me.

But it is now time to tell you the truth, dear synn...

You were born with a cranial/rectal inversion...your head is in your ass and viceversa. This is why you talk shit all the time, it's not your fault.

Can any of Dovi's gains be attributed to Lorenzo's input on the bike? I mean, I know it was a long time coming, and Dovi doesn't seem to care what shape his tank is, but I think Lorenzo's always been pretty hot on bike development?

Seems to tie in with Yamaha's decline. Since losing Lorenzo's input, it's got less and less competitive.

Cowinkydink?
