I got this e mail yesterday.

We just wanted to keep you up to date and let you know that the discussions regarding your compensation for the cancellation of race day at the GoPro British Grand Prix MotoGP are still in progress.

Tomorrow’s 2019 MotoGP presale has been postponed until further notice.

Please be assured we will be contacting you as soon as we have further information.

Once again, we do thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

I spent over a thousand pounds on tickets and camping for the weekend.
I would imagine they will give you money off next years tickets..

It might be a lot of cash they have to pay back but if they don't the long term consequences will be far worse. I'd be surprised if this year's shambles hasn't already convinced more than myself not to return and a failure to refund will see even more choose not to.

I've seen a few people on Twatbook say that only the ones who had the race day ticket will get a full refund, others will get partial because they did see bikes.

Whether it's true or not I haven't a clue.

It will be interesting to see what happens now with Silverstone, BSB are there this weekend but are now using the shorter national track but will the track get resurfaced again over the winter or what?

It'll be a shame to lose the British round as Silverstone is the only track available since Donington don't want MotoGP and the riders won't race at Brands and no other track in the UK has the adequate facilities to hold a major world championship race.

what about the sponsors? a lot of money was put up to make this race happen, I am sure they will want their money back as well.... by the way the schedule does have Silverstone on the calendar for 2019

Haven't been to Donington in years but folk I have spoken to about it reckon there is a lot of cash being thrown at it trying to win the GPs back. Especially with the stories of Donington losing it's WSBK round
