Itís actually amazing seeing the culture of making massive posts based solely on trying to belittle others has managed to carry on from year to year. This place is like a country that had a civil war start 300 years ago and has passed down from generation to generation, and now the people who fight it now donít even know why they are fighting it, but itís all they know at this point. Thatís just the way of powerslide.net, oh I mean motogpforum.com.

I am so sincere when I say that too; it never ends. Fail safe I donít think we have ever made it a race weekend without it lol. Iíve honestly never seen anything like it; not even two stereotypical skinny drunk off their ass white girls fighting over the same guy argue like the dudes on this forum. The only thing you can do is read past it and act like itís not even there because it happens in every thread every weekend.

In other news

Pedrosa still has no news on future
Lorenzo says he must not get carried away on championship hopes, which means he is about to get carried away
Marquez leads fp1- thereís a real shock
Also Jumkie might be dead, I donít think Iíve seen the fella post in weeks
His rusty motorhome blew a flat in the middle of nowhere

I have good relationships/friendships with members outside of this forum. Nothing you can claim to have.

Still doesn't change the fact that you piggyback onto all drama and have a need to insert yourself into business that doesn't concern you.

What amazes me about the current state of MotoGP.
The Yamaha was supposed to be the most forgiving, versatile motorcycle there, with a base set up that works well in almost every circuit. The Honda, the polar opposite.

The roles seem completely reversed now. Multiple reports have said Yamaha doesn’t do revolutionary changes, only evolution. The only thing that has changed drastically over the years? Tyres.

I'll stand up for jps being a solid dude off the forum. As for you I'm doubtful, I try to steer clear off back alleys and trailer park meth labs. Which I'm sure is the only place you can be found with your flip phone that doesn't text.

The Michelin tires are garbage. Not that the Bridgestones were without issue at times, but nothing like with what we are seeing currently every race. Year 3 of Michelin and the front tire folds like a player faced with all-in at a poker table. They inspire no confidence at all since it's not like you even get the same construct front from race to race.

Almost seems like Yamaha is still trying to design their bike around corner speed and these tires aren't corner speed friendly unless the variables all come together on a given weekend which hasn't happened since last year's TT.

Spec tires are obnoxious since it just forces everyone to design to the tire rather than design the bike to what they want it to do. But gotta close up that field!

What I don't understand is how Yamaha was so strong in 2016 (Rossi's raw race pace in early to mid 2016 was probably the best on the grid - he was even qualifying really well). My suspicion is that the IMU and Spec ECU software was still being sorted by Honda and Ducati so Yamaha's weakness was not so obvious. Once Ducati and Honda made the step with the electronics, Yamaha have struggled since (coupled with their chassis woes in 2017).

Yes, that is what I am thinking too.
That said (although it might be too early to say this), Yamaha may have been sandbagging at the Barcelona test, not chasing lap times, instead, focusing o getting things right. Assen might be a Yamaha circuit, but the way Vinales and Rossi were cornering looked completely different from the races before.
