I wonder why a certain rider is the only one who gets booed! Hmmm...
He is the one winning championships.

I saw someone online say that Lorenzo was booed on the podium, if true it kind of destroys Synns argument.

There is so much mutual respect between Rossi and Lorenzo right now and it was blatantly obvious after the race and in the interview.

I think that’s Rossi appreciated Lorenzo for making the same leap of faith that he did and actually taming the beast while J.Lo finally understood what an uphill task Rossi faced after his move.

These two aren’t going to be BFFs, but I won’t be surprised if they carry on some sort of a friendship and admiration well after their careers are done.

Lin Jarvis must be feeling like a proud mom after her fighting sons made up.

Good you acknowledgment this. Notice how no one on this sad forum even mention the joking, laughing and hand shakes between Jorge and Rossi during press conference? Rossi also call Jorge a 'top rider'. Doesn't fit narrative here of Rossi being some kind of back stabbing devil who only win with special tires or Dorna's help.

It hurts their birdbrains and then they revert to their standard phrase book for gems like “SNS! Stoner was moar betterer! Valeban!” Etc.

So even a third placing (a creditable one I don't dispute) is cause for much exuberance for you guys these days?. And after years of being a 'devil' to many Rossi fans Rossi being civil to Jorge on the podium after a dominant race win by him is enough to rehabilitate him?.

Yamaha have realised they need Jorge, perhaps with some encouragement from Dorna, and hence so does Rossi as a future team principal who will run Yamahas. That Petronas money would transfer quite nicely to a VR 46 team, and Vinales doesn't look as though he can do much except ride the bike which is handed to him, and hence can't be Yamaha's sole future, and most other candidates are inexperienced. All appearances are that Jorge has contributed to the quality of the bike at least at Ducati, and he is certainly the best available rider for any Yamaha seat, as Rossi was for 2013.

One thing I hadn't considered about a future VR46 team is that Valentino in his early 40s should be a rather handy test rider, and as far as I am aware there are no restrictions on test riding by team principals.

You know, I was blown away by Mav' early last year and have defended him up until recently, but you're right Michael, he really does not seem to be able to sort out, or ride around problems. It almost makes you think that maybe Yamaha should look at getting in some new 'young blood' to partner their old 'war horse(s)'.
