I heard this weird thing about Vinales

This is not much more than a bar rumor, but I still consider it interesting.

According to this rumor, Vinales and his management started to talk with Davide Brivio and asked if there is a possibility for them to get back to Suzuki.

Vinales would be afraid of losing his best years (in terms of potential, age and therefore physical/mental shape) due to Yamaha's apparent inability to provide him a competitive bike and to work around his needs to be competitive.

Since he already has a signed Yamaha contract, Suzuki and/or him would obviously pay all penalties.

Now this could be bullshit but I know for a fact (and at times it is obvious even on TV) that he is pissed off/frustrated at Yamaha right now.

Guess we'll see. What do you think?

Fascinating, thanks puck. I just witnessed Vinales in FP2 pull into the pit pointing down at the Yam and waving his finger as if to say no, no more. I didn’t get it, then read this post, now you have me wondering.

Vinales to Suzuki opens Yamaha to..............Lorenzo? Ducati to..............Iannone? Maybe with a clause if he takes out Dovi one more time he gets sent to Siberia?

That could really throw a spanner in the works.

Losing Lorenzo and Zarco could perhaps be considered accidental or unlucky, but if he loses Vinales as well it would start to look somewhat careless on Lin Jarvis's part.

Thing is everything is a bit "shaken" right now, with Le Mans being a really good track for Yamaha AND for Vinales, and with Ianone being in good race shape with 2 fresh podiums. I wouldn't really know.

Marketing wise this would be insane for Suzuki. Like one of the fastest riders in the world left a (theoretically) much better bike to go back to them.

Also if this would happen Jarvis would probably have to escape to Mexico under a fake name to never be seen or heard of again.

Did you hear this from a friend's brother in law who overheard Vinales' uncle in a cafe or is there an actual source?

I know a couple people that are lucky enough to have jobs in the paddock. One in particular is a good buddy of mine.

It is fair to specify that none of them is directly involved with any premier class rider, but since the paddock is a small town and since a good 60% of the people in the paddock are Italian, it is sometimes easy for them to hear and/or overhear things :D

Fair play, mate, quite often those are the best sources of info.
It wouldn't surprise me, Mav' has, for a long time, made his frustration with the M1 quite apparent.

If this is all true and not just rumor, it makes it strange that he rushed to re-up his Yamaha deal if he wants out of it so badly already. Maybe this explains why Lorenzo hasn't been rushing to sign a new Ducati deal because he knows something is up at Yamaha.

He should never have left. Said so way back in 2016.

Obviously had no idea the Yamaha was to turn this way, my point was more stay at Suzuki and build a legacy whilst Suzuki built a bike around him.
