Would be a shame if HRC lets Pedrosa go, but if they do, he will most probably end up in Tech 3 KTM. He has a personal Red Bull sponsorship and history with Mike Leitner. Plus, they could definitely use his experience in developing the RC16.

If HRC is looking for a new rider, it would probably be Mir. Or maybe they will promote Morbidelli.

Im betting Dani pulls the pin. He hasnt really been on point for a while, and constantly breaking himself must be weighing on his mind by now.

Huge win for Honda if they sign him up IMO. I don't expect a Marquez like rookie season for him but I won't be surprised if he is very competitive straight away.

He got used to the Moto2 machine pretty fast and apparently trains with litrebikes. I would agree that he would be very competitive straight away.

I'm bringing this thread back to attention as I just ran into an interesting article on this matter:

Wonder if there'll be another sacrificial engineer wheeled out to apologise this weekend.

And who do you think made the decision to go for the current engine over the one he preferred. Welcome to the life of a Rossi teammate brother. So, in 17, the Yamaha under Vinales starts out gangbusters, Rossi leads revolt to switch tires, tires donít help Rossi but kills his dominant teammate and at the same time hands title to Marquez. To deflect, Rossi then clams it was the chassis that was the problem and Vinales led them down a false path. 18, no one listens to Vinales and Rossi chooses wrong engine, then blames Yamaha. Then itís engine configuration, electronics. Whatís next, bad gas. According to Rossi, the M1 needed different tires than the ones Vinales was dominating on, then the chassis was bad, then the electronics, then the engine configuration. Itís amazing that this bike can complete a lap.
