I Ride: Your mom on most days.
I propose that 50 and 60 year old posters retire.
They are taking precious posting space away from younger, better posters.

I Ride: BMW, Honda, and another Honda
This synn guy gets likes for just posting a piece that validates Rossi's bullshit? And then the same ill-informed person calls other posters stupid? Unbelievable! It is also amazing how some people can ignore the giant green and black elephant on the track, Johann Zarco. Twiddling in denial.

Since we want to be factual and have 'smart' people posting about electronics, perhaps we should look at articles like this one, that seems to suggest that Yamaha and Honda were on the same page. Spec ECU for 2016

And how anyone can post about electronic deficiencies and not remember Marquez lossing races to Yamahas because his rear tire was spinning instead of him going forward is beyond me, too. Did he bitch about it? I do not remember.

Full disclosure: I have never programmed a motorcycle traction control. I do not claim to be a genius like Synn. However, I have programmed several ECUs for hot-rods and motorcycles. And the maps are all dependent on the size of the chips and number of sensors. Some have a dozen criteria to map.

One thing thing he doesn't lack is wide variety in displaying logical flaws, in this case false equivalence.

Whilst the electronics may be cited as the primary issue, there's no doubting that it's how those electronics interleave with mechanical influences like suspension and tyres etc that cause the problems.
The main difference I can see is Zarco's penchant for running soft/soft for the full race distance.
As I understand it, when the factory boys put in a new tyre, they feel no notable difference from a used set of rubber.
Unfortunately it's not as easy as saying that Vale and Mav should just run the same rubber as Zarco; tyre choice is a personal thing based on feeling and riding styles etc (That sounds a bit patronising, but it's not directed at you, Mr Pony, it's just a general comment)

Meregalli, Rossi and Vinales have all said multiple times that they have analyzed Zarco’s data, but could not do much with it as he has an entirely different style and is smaller and lighter than both the factory riders.
