I Ride: Honda CRF250 (modified for Dirt Track)
OH and another "you heard it here first", which you prolly all know about already

The Marc VDS Team is going Suzuki next year. Stamp it, if you haven't yet

I Ride: Whatever I can steal
It makes sense Zarco going to KTM in that he would retain the same crew from Tech 3 who will manage the effort. I would still prefer to see him on the Honda.

Would a satellite Suzuki still be subject to the same concession status as the factory team if the Factory loose their concessions through success?

As for the KTM, if I were Zarco I might give that one a swerve, however, as a fan of the sport, it would be interesting to see what a guy like Zarco could do on it. He has proven to be way more successful on the Tech 3 Yam than the current KTM riders were, so it would be a good yardstick.

I don't give credit to Dorna very readily, but 4 KTMs and 4 Suzukis on the grid sounds pretty good to me from where the grid was headed a few years back.

While I hate how Rossi-centric they have made the sport, the things they've done to get more competitive satellite machinery and more manufacturers on the grid and competitive are great. The parity we now see in the competition is better than ever before and has made the racing much better IMO.

I Ride: A bicycle.
Both the current KTM riders should get the boot, then either bring up Olivera or Binder to partner Zarco.

I'm disappointed with Zarco's choice. That bike is not good enough.

everyone acting like the KTM is a shit bike and will always be a shit bike... they are going to improve that bike, and it will be a podium contender. I do not think KTM is any worse at the current moment then Ducati was 4 years ago, and Ducati had better quality riders, KTM's current rider pairing is arguably the worst on the MotoGP grid.

I Ride: Your mom on most days.
The KTM isn’t a shit bike and they have a budget close or equal to HRC.
The problem is, no matter how deep your pockets are or how good the people are, it takes time to develop a championship winner. The last few hundredths are exponentially hard to conquer.

Zarco is a fast rider who deserves a fast bike out of the box. Not 18 months from now.
Going from decent satellite rides where you outperform your peers to a factory where you need to deliver results AND be fast could be a career killer. Which is why I mentioned Bradl before.

Maybe Zarco will prove me wrong and I hope he does. But it’s a risk he could have avoided IMO.

+1.

Winning is not just a question of raw talent. It's a question of psychology and momentum too. It's easy to fall into a downward spiral in this sport.
